well have had a search on tinternet and can't seem to find them anywhere .

These are quite old items tho..... I seem to remember them from 80's and early 90's *sigh* I feel quite old now.

Altenatively my mum used to use seven small jars/tins that did the same job and are much cheaper

I'm sorry you're having a bad time. Is it worthwhile making an appointment to see the CAB to see if they can help you out?

I used to work at the job centre (briefly) and I'm a PQ accountant so I know a lot about benefits and stuff already. I've been on the entitled to website and have already worked out that if I get Disability/Incapacity Child benefit, Child Support, Tax Credits, Council tax & housing benefit I would only just have enough to survive. Because I would need to send DS to nursery at least 2 days a week. There just wouldnt be enough without Incapacity, So I have to wait until I've been diagnosed before I can think about changing my situation. It looks like it will take ages before thats gonna happen because doctors are always so reluctant to diagnose (or even give appointments!), and then the IB application is likely to be rejected as thats what happens with most people with ME the first time they apply for it so it will have to be appealed. :(

DS will get 2 1/2 days free childcare when he's 3, so in just over a years time I will be able to sort it all out :) without IB if it isn't already sorted by then. Dont want to have to wait that long though.

NSD for me today - was very good and took a salad with me to work for lunc with a pitta bread. Didn't particularly fancy it at lunchtime I have to admit but had it anyway.

Spicy beanburgers, new potatoes and corn on the cob for tea tonight - yum! I have to admit the beanburgers were frozen ones that I bought ages ago. I promise to make them next time!

By the way - when we went into Asda yesterday they had their Extra Special Jersey Royal Potatoes for £1 for 1kg down from £2.98. Seemed to be a normal offer rather than a one off. OH cooked too many tonight so I'm going to mix the rest up with some mayo and chives tomorrow to go with my salad :)

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah:mad:

Me and DD planted out 9 tomato plants in 3 separate pots two nights ago and some fat slimey slugs have eaten 3 already!!! Needless to say the slug pellets have been scattered around the remaining plants!

Haven't been on here for several nights so sorry I don't have time to read all the messages. Think we have around £10 to last to the 3rd!!!! Probably won't make it under budget but still spending a lot less nowadays than a few months ago.:D

    Good luck to everyone.

    Purple princess...

fresh yeast has quite a long date on it, but you can break it into chunks and freeze...it only takes minutes to defrost once its out ;)

Now i know this is very sad :o ... but i have just been packing hubbies food for tomorow..he is on duty all day and refuses to pay for the naffi food as he prefers home made :T ..so i have been outside with the security light on collecting salad leaves-the neighbours must think im barking:rotfl: ... he is having a feta salad with fresh hm bread n butter and six sandwiches of tuna salad...they tuna is bashed with tzatziki that we have open and want to use :p ..tastes very nice too...anyway just had to show you all some of my salad leaves... a similar amount to what is in the box is being sold in the supermarket at the moment for over €1  and for less variety...suddenly hubby doesn't think it quite so daft that i have over 150 plants of salad leaves growing :rotfl:

Angelnikki - 3 year olds get their free nursery education the term AFTER their third birthday. So depending on when their birthday is they may have to wait a while before they get it free. For instance a child with a birthday at the end of September has to wait until January for their free place. The government are very clever at giving the impression that all 3 year olds get free education but its not a very fair system if you have to wait several months.
    Hope this makes sense.
