I managed to make twinks hob nobs. Unfortunately, they were coming out of the oven just as dh arrived home so they've all gone. Next time, I'll make them earlier and hide half in the freezer before he gets home.

Last night, I cross checked my tesco receipt with the print out from when I made the order. I was shocked to see that in between ordering and delivering, my olive oil went up 50p
Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j

Does anyone know where the recipe for dough balls is? I thought I saved it but its gone. They were balls of dough (duh) with garlic butter or something in them?
    Thanks

hi, don't know where your recipe for dough balls has gone :p but this is the one i use. its one where you make the dough in the BM, so i hope you've got one :D

    you need:
140ml or 5/8 cup tepid water
    1tbsp olive oil
    1tsp salt
    1/2 tsp sugar
225g or 2 cups bread flour
    1/2 tsp dried yeast

put all the wet ingredients in your BM first, then the flour, then the yeast
set it to the dough setting
when its finished, take the dough out onto a lightly floured surface
i then cut it into either 6 or 8 pieces
make into a ball shape, poke your finger in it to make a hole
put some butter/garlic/ italian seasoning or parsley in the hole
squidge the hole back up ( is squidge a word?)
    place on baking tray
allow to rest for 1/2 hr ( the dough balls, not you!! :rotfl:)
bake at 180 for about 20 mins
    enjoy xx

you can also use this recipe for the pizza base :D

    Hello All!

Have received my Asda delivery of £66.41 and bought fresh veg and milk today for £4.27 total spend so far of £70.68. Got £300 to last all of May.

My shopping bill also includes beer for hubbie, his only vice, although am trying to convince him to cut down. Have also found in the back of my understair cupboard a box of washing tablets so won't have to buy any for about 3 months!

    Best of luck to everyone.

    Me too!!

DS wanted a Hot Wheels comic, but I'd just paid for the car tax, so I made a hasty exit before being tempted myself.
