    Pickle .26p
Spread .79p (up 10p in price)

    Leeks .33p
    Crisps .35p

    Total spend = £3.00

These were not baked beans (I hate the sauce) but haricot, red, borlotti, chick peas etc. Sorry if I misled you.

Oh well - not to worry - thought it was too good to be true.

3 for £1 it is then

May has started today for me but went shopping for a "few bits" last night to Tesco, £26 can go on May's budget.

Loads of half price stuff including Walker multi-pack crips, napoli tomatoes, jaffa cakes and Ribena (DH won't drink anything else so I grabbed 10 bottles :D). I also grabbed 3 bags of 19p value pasta (no more on the shelf :p ) and followed the woman who was reducing all the meat around for a bit  . Picked up 3 x 500g lamb mince for £1.59 down from £2.10, not a massive bargain but it's something which I can use up quite easily, it's stuffed in the freezer for now.

Hope everyone does well this May :)
  • Wow, baked beans are my staple diet so i best stock up.

For anyone in the NW, Booths have 8 tins of Heinz BBs for £2.50. :T
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

Good Morning Everyone. I love seeing how everyone is getting on. My OH is doubtful that I'll be able to stick to my GC budget - I am determined to prove him wrong!

I'm off to the Post Office now to drop of some ebay sales. I'll try not to buy anything!

    See you later.

Goodness! I miss out for one day and there's 8 pages to read!!

Spent £2.04 today in Lidl - I needed milk and I only bough milk! I'm so proud :)

May should be a really easy month for us as my mum will be feeding the 5000 for the next few days. As the swarms of family turn up to help out with the final preparations for my sister's wedding! I probably won't be about for a bit because of that but when I do come back I shall be very jealous as my sis is off to Sri Lanka and the Maldives for 2 weeks! :(

Oh well - camping in South Wales for us at the end of the month!

OH brother flies in from Oz this afternoon so fingers crossed he doesn't eat us out of house and home! Think happy thoughts of nice weather for Saturday please!!

ps - was talking to a girl at work yesterday and she reckons their monthly outgoings are about £5,000 on average. (2 adults and 2 children). That's more than double what me and OH bring home each month. Maybe I'm not as bad as I thought I was!!! :)
