4th nsd in a row. I should beable to make it til Wednesday before needing to buy anything. It all depends if I can convince dd she can go a couple of days without grapes.

Had a nice morning out, we went to Greenwich park to feed the ducks with the crusts I have been cutting off dd's bread. waste not want not! Was shocked that there were people there feeding the ducks whole loaves of kingsmill! Not cheap.

Let dd have a donkey ride the walked down into the town centre before coming home
Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j

In Lush Belfast.I'm a trainne solicitor with fees to pay so I kept my saturday job on. GC aim, along with other cut backs, is to allow me to give up sats as as on 16 June will be in office 5 days a week again (have been at uni 4 days a week since Jan). And by uni I don't mean actual uni I mean 9.30- 4.30 lectures with lunch break! Copin ok with 6 days but means not a good social life as can't go mad on fri as work on sat and not in from work till 7 on sat. Also OH ends up doin far more houswork than me. Gettin really fed up.

Ah, I see. Lush sounds like a good laugh, but I know what you mean about the extra shift. I did bar work on top of my full time job, but it got too much. I may have to re-visit that though! However, it will be worth it and when your salary increases, you'll benefit from what you've learnt on here :D

Phew! I've reached the end at last! That'll teach me to not catch up every day:p

Had a bit of a mishap with our little freezer---door got left open a smidge, so had to bin the ice lollies & bag of breadcrumbs, but salvaged &/or cooked the rest. Mind, it does give me the ideal opportunity to do a proper inventory & get some organisation :rotfl: :rotfl: into the system.

Clair, the Lemon & Poppy Seed Muffins are on page 48 of this month's challenge, post 942. I'm telling you that now cuz I'm not too clever on linkie things:o so you'll know where to look if it goes wrong!

    Right the cakes are

    Lemon and poppy seed muffins

    330g SR flour
    150g sugar
    1.5 tablespoon poppy seeds
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    250ml milk
    75g margarine
    125ml lemon juice (bottled stuff)
    1 egg

mix dry ingredients in a bowl

Using a stick blender blend mik juice marge and egg until smooth then stir into dry ingredients

into 12 muffin cases bake gas 6 for 20mins or until golden

this was the first time i made these not really as lemony as i would have liked am going to do lemon icing on them ,however they are the best looking muffins i have ever made

The corned beef bake was leftover new potatoes diced and roasted in the oven, then some onion peppers leek were sweated in another pan once the potatoes were cooked the onion mixture, some cherry tomatoes and a can corned beef (diced )were added topped with some mozzarella and popped back in the oven till hot and the cheese melted

    great with Barbecue sauce

I think next time I make them, I'll add a little less milk & more lemon--perhaps even some zest.

I also tried the choc CHIPS in the Twinks & had the same results as Angelnikki:o Next time tho, I'll try the bashed up choc CHUNKS providing the infamous No2 offspring has forgotten my secret stash in the freezer;) It's MrT's value choc of the non-cooking type & makes excellent ice-cream topping!!!!

I think Phoolgrrrl was asking for rubber chicken recipes---one of our favourites is using cooked chicken chopped into bite-sized pieces & put into an oven proof dish. You then add whatever you fancy; finely chopped bacon, sweetcorn, peppers, mixed veg, nowt!--& top it with a can of Condensed soup--my lot are quite neanderthal with their eating preferrences so it's just plain chicken, but I enjoyed the spicy mediterranian tomato--& about 1/2 the can of water if you like a thicker 'sauce'. Cover with foil & bung in the oven for 30-40mins till the chicken is piping hot, & serve with eg. pasta, rice, salad, chips. You can also leave out the water, put a bit of pastry on top & make a passable pie.

SFT, the OB isn't working at the same place as the other poster whose facing redundancy in Sept is he? What an absolute boom-hole for anyone to face, but particularly as you were doing so well towards turning your dream into reality. Have a :grouphug:

ps...MrT value loo rolls have a :T from me but  from the offspring...thanks for the suggestions tho.

but like a few people on here are saying, its better to start now, and pick up good spending habits.

I couldnt agree more, youngbean (I do like your name, even if you do make me feel ancient lol). We all wish we had found this site years ago! It certainly would have saved us a fortune. All my family think I'm crazy, but dont complain when I get them good deals on their insurance and cashback etc :D

Thanks for your message. I didn't know anyone else was facing redundancy in September? We should know either way by the end of the month.

Might have to change my name and sig if its bad news.
    Take care
