mrssnowy just noticed what you said about the washing powder, try reducing it even more, I use a tablespoon of powder or HALF a washer tablet usually, I have soda crystals and add a spoon of those if very dirty, even gets my grubby lots clothes clean.
Right need to do better this week, not got much left, one of my items on the shopping list at the minute is teacakes, it's all my DS1 will eat for breakfast, does anyone have a recipe for them? I pressume they're similar to breadrolls as they are just lighter and with fruit in. I've got piles of flour so should make them instead to save me money this week.One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks g&b ohhh goody I can make them in the BM
not that I am lazy or anything
It's all DS1 will have for breakfast and I am sick of running out of them and him having hissy fits (then me dashing to the shop at 7.30am) so this should save the problem (and some money considering how little I have left for my GC target
)

Tashaja - keep on going there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Youngbean - you survived the first week, glad you have someone to talk to about gc, haven't mentioned it to my family as my dh already thinks i am a little crazy, however he wont when he sees what we have at the end of the month in the bank:beer:
Sorry to ask again but does anyone have the recipe for either cornflake cake (the one with the pastry base) or vanilla slice as I can't seem to find either. Many thanks dink1JanGC £250/£82 far:weight loss 1lb cc250/£86/cm40/£9.50 :A0 -
Help! It's my first month joining the GC, I am bound to fail. We are up to £370 already. Don't think I will last til June on only £30.
We are having BBQ for 18 at lunch today, this has come out of my budget and was unplanned. With a bit of luck I have over estimated the meat and can freeze some later.
Yesterday I made choc chip muffins and blueberry muffins. DS2 helped to make gingerbread biscuits, not bad for first attempt, a few slightly overcooked but still edible. :T
Also needed to use up large tub of mushrooms and potatoes which had started to go soft. Did mushroom soup for freezer, shepherds pie for tea, with mince in freezer to have at a later date with pasta. Previously they might have ended up in the bin.:eek:
Anyway, better go sort food before they all arrive. Hope the sunshine lasts.0 -

Thanks we'll have a look...Didn't find the website very easy last time I looked...but I think we're still signed on.
Just made our fish pie for dinner. I love cooking with my other half..Next got to tackle the housework. At least I did the ironing yesterday (the job I loathe the most).
Must go for a brisk walk too at some point
