heres the recipe for the garlic dough balls, making the dough in the BM:
to make 6 dough balls,
you need
5fl oz water
1tbsp olive oil
1tsp salt
1/2tsp sugar
1/2tsp italian herbs or oregano
2 cups strong flour
1/2tsp dried yeast
make dough in the BM
when its finished, divide it into 6 equal balls
mix a bit of crushed garlic with some butter
poke a finger into each dough ball, and put about 1/2tsp of garlic butter inside, then squidge the ball closed
allow to rise , but they won't rise much, just leave for about an hour
bake at 170/180 for about 12-15 mins
can be frozen, and reheated in microwave0 -
I have had a NSD today, but going to Lids in am, have made a list and MUST stick to it.
Have checked out freezer and have done a 3 week meal plan from that, so will just need milk, bread, ceral, fruit and veg.
Wish me luck, have to keep to it as no room for over spend when we are back to 1 wage.
Maybe when I am a SAHM again with 2 boys in all day school, i will have time to grow veg etc?0 -

Now - what can I do to use the mascarpone up quickly? Tried adding it to pasta and leeks for lunch, not bad but a bit bland. Don't really want to use it for a sweet dish as am trying to loose weight. We are all veggie and stocks are running low as end of week. Have leeks and potates left, plus lots of tins of beans (not baked) and other store cupboard essentials.
I was going to suggest tiramisu! But on a savoury note, you can use it instead of cream when you make soup. Goes well in leek and potato soup in fact! That's what I use it for anyway!
