    how was your weekend?

im itcing to start clearing debt.. im guessing my OH will want to wait till were officially in the new flat this saturday before paying it off...

we have about 6.5k in our account now for living on/debt and the highest debt is a car loan for 3k. if we pay that off asap (as weve been paying 100 pounds off a month for the last year and its still on about 3k! damn interest!) then we would still have 3.5k left until we get paid/emergencies(which is what i think OH is more worried about)

what do you think? i just hate the thought of all the interest...

    Hello!

I had a good weekend thanks. Tired now though! Need another day to sleep :D How was yours?

I think it might be a good idea to wait until you next get paid to pay off the car loan. I know its annoying and yuo want to clear it, but I would just be 100% safe. Something (hopefully it wont!) might come up and it could cause problems. I am a completly worrier and panic merchant, so feel free to ignore me! Also have you got the ok to pay off the car early? Sometimes there can be a fee involved etc.

    hiya!

weekend went well, more or less in the new flat now, just waiting for the bed which will be in the new flat on saturday! so i was up till about half 11 cleaning the old flat which is looking good, only the bedroom to do now. tiring though. im normally asleep by ten on week nights so i am really starting to feel it as i havent slept that early in a long time!

oh, how was your salmon meal?? i did actually buy (as they were on offer in argos) some jamie oliver salt and pepper mills for cooking. i thought they were going to be usual size but theyre huge! almost a bit too big for keeping on the dniing table.. look cool in the kitchen though :rotfl:

i asked OH about car loan and he said exactly the same as you. i was a bit grumpy but having slept on it, its true. im still convinced somethings going to go wrong. its far too easy! anyway we came to a comprimise. ive piad off the 1,500 loan work gave me instead, as itll still leave over 4k in the account. :money: then after pay day this month and we are in december, we will pay off the rest. i am going to change my signature though, as i know its going to go through, and i cant wait!!!

Thats a really good idea about the loan from work. Yey! Your total is going down so much! :D I have just checked my bank account and my credit card has gone up to £116 (due to interest) but I have just scraped together £28 and paid it off.

Just got to wait until I find out how much the minimum payment will be this month, then I can add the remaining amount, and then thats it. :D Onto paying my mum back... boooooooo! :rotfl:

Lol @ the salt and pepper mills. I have done that before. As long as they look nice, thats all that matters.

opps i did a very naughty thing. i went into homebase for 2 small pots of paint, for touch ups on the walls of the old flat (moving our officially this weekend, god i cant wait) it should of come to 3 pound something, 8 with this brush i bought.

anyway i spotted lampshades. we have none and when i tried to order my fave from argos they had stopped doing it, and these were similar. we have 2 bulbs in the living room so i had to buy two matching (of course) then i spotted a lovely one for the kitchen... oh yes it suits the whole chrome theme so i picked one up. then 2 small bins, one for each bathroom. then 2 toilet brushes, then toilet roll holder, then this, then that... anyway it came to.... wait for it....

    ....

    .....

    150 quid OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

but it was all stuff we do need, honest!! what didnt help is i had done some calculations before lunchtime at work....

    theres 6250 in the account.

90 is going out for tesco (big order i know eeek, but we honestly have nothing at either flat! just spices and a big bag of pasta as we have been using everything up!)
£135 for a van to pick up the bed over the weekend, oh and then about
    1500 work loan
250 for the wedding video but i dont think thats going out for another few weeks in which ill be paid anyway...

    so then ingoing weve got...

430 valuation fee cheque i have been chasing and is due any day now
999 reservation fee refund due in 3 weeks
650 deposit on old flat hopefully!! cant see why not though, hes not even going to check the flat before it gets rented out again!!
325 for 2 weeks rent back
1200 my wages in 3 weeks
1700 OH wages in 3 weeks

leaves plenty for debts with a couple of grand left over! i keep thinking well i did clear 1500 off debt in one swoop yesterday!! all of a sudden i wont to nest and be this houseproud wife i never knew was in me!!
