My Shiny New Diary!!

:A Hi Everyone:A
Thought i should redo my diary, as i fell of the DFW wagon, and now need something to keep me going! :T
My debt is just under £10K now, i owe HSBC for a loan and a credit card, but mainly I owe my mum £4750. She helped me get out of debt last year, but i didnt cut up the CC and then got myself into more debt! :wall:
I know i can be debt free by this time next year, but i really want to start 2009 afresh, and so I am hoping to pay off all of my debts by the end of this year. This means i need quite a bit extra a month, but thats where the monthly challenges come in handy! :j
I am selling some items on ebay and Amazon etc. and hope to make extra money through online clicks and anything else i can try and do.
I work full time in London, and so my day is quite long, but the salary is good so i cant grumble!
I have 2 cats that are nut nuts, but are soooo lovely at the same time. They make staying in of a weekend bearable! :rotfl:
Soooo lets say fingers crossed i can be DF by December 2008!

Hi Amy :hello: good to see you back here. I've just signed up for the make £10 a day in May and I'm hoping to do well.
I'm sure once you set your mind to it you'll get there.
Good luck hun x0 -
Thanks everyone.
I will post a new SOA when i can figure out my wages. I have just started a new job, and they think i am paying too much tax (my previous job didnt sort it out very well), so im not 100% sure what i will be getting a month. When i figure that out i will post a new SOA.
I have made a couple of ££ on ebay, and managed to put £5 worth of change in my change jar (including £2 coins!) :T
Im still feeling very positive today. I did however apply for 2 jobs that are more local to me. The travelling every day (nearly 2 hours each way) is starting to take its toll, and the fact i pay out over £3K a year in train fares is shocking. Anyway, they are a bit of a salary drop, but if i did get one i could restart my job in the pub a few evenings a week, and not be as tired so could do other extra jobs. Its a shame cos i love my new job, its just where it is thats the problem.
Enough of my rambling!! :rotfl:

Don't wait until the end of the tax year before claiming back any overpaid tax - you should be able to get it back, either by cheque or in your paypacket, as soon as they have put you on the correct tax code.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Thanks Hypno. Im not really sure whats going on with my tax. Have bought in an old pay slip from a job i had for 5 years, so fingers crossed they can match the tax code etc. and see what im owed, if anything.
I will deffo ask for it asap, every little helps! :beer:Debt: just my mortgage

Morning Amy; good to see you back. I don't know London well but if you like the new job is it feasible to move nearer to it? I am with you on hte travelling - I left a job which was fine but I could not cope with the commute.0

Hi Peb
Not really feasible to move closer. I have really really cheap rent where I am and even if i took the amount i spend on travel out i wouldnt be able to afford more than a room somewhere. Also all my family, friends etc. live where i do, and I have 2 nutty cats that need their space! :rotfl:
Its such a shame as i do enjoy the job, and i have worked in London since i was 17ish so nearly 8 years, but its now starting to take its toll.

I see - the London Conundrum! Cupboard near the job or reasonable space 2/3 hours away. Good luck with the new applications.0

Thats exactly it!! Its such a nightmare.
Thanks for the good luck.
