Well just checked my account and my paypal money has gone in, which i have just transferred over to my savings. I now have £387.03 in my savings which will be going onto my CC very very soon (as soon as some other bits have cleared my account!).

Also i have made the decision to actually cut up my credit card. I get a new one issued in February 2009, so i think it makes sense to just cut it up now, resist any urge to spend on it (however little!) and then in February i should be Debt Free and so can lower the amount on it etc.

I will be cutting it up at lunchtime! :eek:

You seem to be doing great dealing with your debts and are an inspiration to me having just had my LBM and started on this road.

One thing, if I could ask, how do manage to spend so little on groceries? I'm not sure of my total as I'm just starting "accounting" but I'm sure I spend too much.

Any advice appreciated (except grow your own veg- not possible in my 1st floor flat!)

Re: Food etc. To be honest i dont eat a great deal (and its not because of saving money, i never have really!). I try and buy the essentials: Bread, Milk, Eggs, Cheese, Bacon (mmmmm sarnies!) and some fruit etc. and just make basic meals:

Scrambled egg on toast, omelletes (spelling is rubbish sorry!)... bits and pieces.

I know it probably wont help you!

Also try using http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/Home.aspx to compare prices, so you can see where you can save.

I also find BOGOFs are great!

Well i have started to hopefully get some money from Quidco today. Got £16 that has tracked, just waiting for the rest.

I joined a casino site through them, and ended up winning £20, so im £35 up from that! Hoping it will track ASAP!

Oooooooooo been told that i am getting just under £200 rebate on my tax this month as i overpaid for 2 months (in this tax year). :j

By my calculations, end of May i should have £800 to put on my credit card! :eek: Im in shock.

My old reaction would of been... ooo what could i get for £200... oh i know a Wii... but i really didnt need to think too hard... a Wii or a house?? :rotfl:
