Thank you hun.
Well I did have some good news. I got a letter from British Gas agreeing that the account (and therefore default) was not mine, and I have checked today and it has been removed from my credit file.
I am so chuffed.
Unfortunately this month has been super expensive, and I wont be able to pay any extra onto the credit card, but I should still be debt free (interest paying!) by the end of 2008 which is what I was aiming for.

Hey Amy;
Don't know if you remember me, you gave me laods of Amazon help a few months ago!! Anyway I've been away, burying my head in the sand like a bad DFW but I'm trying to ease myself back; and it's brilliant to see you doing so brilliantly with your debt, £4k since January is an amazing achievement!!

Hi AA
Of course i remember you. Im glad you are back, deffo ease yourself back in and dont worry about being away, we all do it. I managed to double my debt last year by falling of the wagon   :rotfl:
Thank you! I know its a lot of money, but at the moment i feel stuck. I think November/December time i will be taking a break from debt busting, i feel like i need to recharge the old batteries.

Still feeling a bit stuck.
Have had to put money from penny jar (£84) into my bank account as my sister hasnt paid me the money she owes me back (£110) so i had to make sure i wouldnt go overdrawn.
Only really needed £16 or so, so i can pay the rest off my credit card when i get paid, just a bit annoying.
Roll on payday on Friday. :j I have even budgeted £100 for Alton Towers, but should only need around £50.
I seriuosly need to consider decorating my front room, and at least getting a new sofa, so thats on my wish list for the Christmas sales.

Hi Amy, sorry you're feeling stuck - I think you've done brilliantly - and if you're going to be interest-paying debt free by the end of the year, wow!! :TDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

:hello:
Hurrah... its payday and Friday!!!!!
Well today my debts stand at:
Credit Card: £2,349.72
Loan: £227.71
Mum: £4,750.00
I have just paid £55 off of my credit card, but am waiting for it to clear before I update my signature.
I also have my last payment on my loan on 4th September (next Thursday), so that will be so great when that has cleared. It will be 1 down, 2 to go.
I am hoping to pay around £200 extra onto my credit card this month, that is if all goes well.
I am waiting for £68 from Quidco to be paid out this month (it says scheduled) so that will be a great bonus.
All in all, feeling better today. But wont be able to update my signature until next week (probably Wednesday/Thursday) and then will wait until near the end of the month to pay off the extra on my credit card (in case anything comes up im not expecting!).

Hurrah its the weekend! :j
Well just checked my online banking and a payment I made to my credit card is showing as credited, wasnt expecting it until next week.
It means my totals have slowly come down
Hopefully they will come down even further the next couple of weeks. And with my last payment on my loan due out next Thursday my debt should be below £7K which im really excited about.

Hi Amy,
Brilliant news about your payment showing as credited, its great when you can update the sig. Be great when its under £7K. You have done really well seeing as you started at over £11K at the beginning of the year.
Did you have a nice time shopping Saturday?

Hi Hayley
Thank you xx I actually cant quite believe how quickly the debt has come down, and I also cant believe how long I would of just plodded along with it!
I did have a nice time yesterday, i did spend around £42 in boots but it was on things i did need, and wont buy again for 6 odd months, so not too bad.
And i deserve a treat i think.
