Does anyone know of any home-based working opportunities, such as the AQA website posted a few pages back? I really need some extra money - and a home-based job would be perfect. But there are so many scams out there these days :( !

I looked back through all of this thread - took me a while to go through but picked up a couple of pointers that I hadn't seen last time! I couldn't find the AQA link though? Could anyone help please?

I am having trouble finding a website for Grassroots - do you have a link please batgirl?

Like batgirl, I would be grateful for any details of reliable mystery shopping companies. I am in Exeter, Devon if you want to make sure I am not in your area and so cannot take your assignments.

I used to do mystery shopping for NOP but don't do it now so don't have web address. You could maybe google it though. they were pretty good, used to do quite a few railway cafes, banks, the odd telephone one and writing letters of complaint. They also had pub ones etc and even got offered a break in a hotel which would've been good. I'm in Cumbria too but no time for this now!

    Hi,

I'm fairly new on the forum and some of these have already been mentioned but they are the ones I have found to be the best -

    Paid Surveys/Reviews -

    Ciao
    Dooyoo.co.uk
Yougov (£35 min before withdrawal but they are fairly frequent. I think it would take around 6 months to a year to get to £35).
Saros Research - They have sent me three invitations to discussion groups recently, all paying between £30 and £80 but they were in London and on weekdays when I was busy. If you are flexible with your time and can get to London easily they are well worth trying.

    Cashback sites -

Pigsback.com - Rewards for points but easy to build up. If nothing else joining and clicking a couple of links gives you enough for a free squeezy piggy
Linemypocket.co.uk - Cashback with min £5 withdrawal. You can usually get free cashback, e.g. for free trials and registering on free sites
Themutual.net - Rewards are in shares which is quite interesting as their share price has doubled since I joined.

On the subject of websites as a lot of people are mentioning them you do have to have good content to get good Google ranking (amongst other things) and interesting enough for people to stay on the site. Tradedoubler is a good site to get affiliate links from although some places are picky about what sites they allow their links to be put on.

You can get free templates for websites - all you have to do is change the title and add in your content. Plus it's a good way to learn basic HTML etc by messing around with them.
Webdesignhelper.co.uk is a great site for these - go to the full sites section under free templates and download as many as you want. I mainly use templates from their site when someone just wants a basic site.

If anyone is having trouble with search engine ranking I can have a lok at their site and give free tips so PM me if you want. A lot of people charge for this information and it only takes 5-10 minutes.

I am a Yougov member and sorry to correct you but minimum withdrawal is £50 and I have been a member for over 1 year and only have £36, seems to take for ages, hopefully will get more surveys soon.

Ciao have a lot of surveys but you get 5-10 mins into them and they tell you that your not suitable, bit annoying really.

Pigsback is brill, cant fault them at all.

Sorry if this sounds like a negative post but just wanted to point the above out.
:hello: Laugh and smile everyday, it keeps you healthy !
Thanks for everybodies help on here, what a great community !

No worries - thanks for correcting me. I must have been thinking about another site with £35 threshold.

Ciao do have a habit of doing that, and when I first signed up ages ago I thought it was just a ploy to get a bit onf info from you and then say they didn't need answers from your demographic and get out of paying you. However, I've updated all my profile (takes a while!) and now it doesn't happen so often. After 3 months I have made around £7 which isn't too bad. I assume it depends on what your profile is like as to which surveys you get, and I'm not sure who the most common ones are aimed at so it's difficult to put an idea of how much can be earned.

I would recommend making sure your profile is fully filled in and giving them a while and see what happens. Along with Yougov they still seem to be the best for consistent surveys and the £5 threshold is very good.

I'm still debating whether to get a squeezy pig or hold out for a better reward!
