I see from your sig that you have about as many premium bonds as me and about as little luck as me too. Here's hoping that both of us get a win soon. I've been getting mine by standing order recently so hopefully my odds are improving.

  • Hi all, am also looking to make bit of cash from home and have logged on to lots in the last couple of weeks... not making much yet but I live in hope!!

Anyway on page 1, Beckie mentions her site http://www.ilovefreebiesuk.co.nr and its BRILLIANT!!!:T :T :T

She's listed the majority of sites talked about on this thread and scored them, including whether shes been paid. She also mentions some other ideas

Hope I am allowed to do this but seems worthwhile!!
    Enjoy the money making:o

    Hi

I've just started up as an Avon rep to earn a few extra pounds a month (I'm a pregnant, SAHM) Can anyone who currently works as an Avon Rep and makes a few poudns out of it offer me any tips? I'm fed up reading all the negative (even if honest!) posts. I'm not expecting to get rich doing it but would be happy to earn enough to buy a few treats each month.

My own tips which may or may not help (only been doing for 2 weeks and haven't even submitted my first order yet) so far:

put a little slip in with brochures asking if people would like to see brochures in the future with no obligation to buy or if they order Avon elsewhere or do not want any more brochures posted through their door. This I hope will save me time and cost of unreturned brochures so that I can look for new potential customers instead of flogging a dead horse

also ask people best times/days to deliver order to them rather than putting an actual delivery date - will have to see if this one helps

giving extra brochures to family/friends who know other people eg workplace, school, club etc who might be interested in buying. This saves lots of work for you as a Rep and if anyone does this for me, I will offer them a discount on their own order or some freebie products as an incentive/reward - the higher the value of the orders they get, the bigger their reward (haven't worked out precise details yet!)

delivering previous campaign brochures out to people who haven't ordered before - if you don't get them back, its not such a big deal. keep the current campaign brochures for people more likely to order or at least return the brochure in good time.

    anymore???
    TIA:think:

    Hi

I have myself booked onto a 4 day intensive plastering course at a cost of £260, so hopefully I will come away from that with a good enough standard to do this on the side at weekends. Hopefully I will redeem the cost of the course in the first job or 2.

    Hi

To update on this I have done the course (this last week) and achieved a good standard of plastering, I have been asked already to do a bathroom and at the weekend I am plastering a nursery. I think as soon as people find out what you are capable of doing they want you to do something for them. Cool with me, see what happens now.

    Hi

My wife recently quit with Avon, basically because she took on more p/t work elsewhere. Anyway, Caroline would staple a message on the front of each brochure telling customers of the bargains and features of each campaign. That worked ok. Your idea of posting out brochures from old campaigns was one that we never thought of, if trying to get new territory it was done with current campaign brochures - your idea is good there ;)

Never did it but thought of parties hosted by a customer, they getting a few free gifts for hosting it. Any samples, etc, were passed onto regular customers as gifts and that helped build a faithful few who would buy every month.

May I ask how the platering is going now and what company you did the course through as I am considering doing this so I can do my own house.

When they pay you for your mystery shopping, they take tax out, and also pay you holiday pay!!!! Most mystery shop companies leave it to you to sort your own tax out, but not TNS.

Similar to the plastering idea, i wondered about getting trained to drive LGv's or HGV's.

Theory being that one weekend a month I go driving and delivering stuff !!

Anyone done it or got an idea on who/where to get training ??

    Cheers !!
    Smile!
