Have I missed something, why would his friends be randomly giving food away
or is this part of the condition while he doesn't have a job, he must go round to friends and bring home free food :rotfl:

No KM, we are not quite onto red cross food parcels.......yet!!
He has some friends that he visits once a week or so, and they have this strange obsession with buying food that they then don't want eg buy a 24 multibag of crisps but they only like one flavour........or clear out the cupboard to get rid of food approaching sell by or best before dates.
And of course being a good dfwer trying to get by the best we can, we are not too proud to take the unwanted food from them - it only goes in the bin otherwise!!
Amazingly, they buy lots of biscuits that fall into the above categories.....now it would be rude not to accept them wouldn't itSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. - [strike]put a load of washing in the machine before work[/strike]DONE - will hang out when I get home
- [strike]check online banking and tick off against "bills still to be paid" list[/strike] DONE -still got a shortfall of £260.46 but will be covered by student's rent when it arrives.
- make packed lunch ready for tomorrow to aid NSD aim! will do when I make the next cuppa!
- [STRIKE]put away "free" food OH brought home from a friend's house yesterday[/STRIKE] DONE
- [strike]do a mystery shop at lunchtime[/strike] DONE - awaiting follow up phone call before inputting.
- [STRIKE]do a mystery shop after work (phone)[/STRIKE]DONE
- [STRIKE]do sky free b!ngo 6-8pm[/STRIKE] DONE - no winnings.....bah
- [STRIKE]clean kitchen[/STRIKE]DONE - I will not be ashamed if anyone comes round!
- [STRIKE]run hoover through downstairs[/STRIKE]DONE
- sort piles in dining room so that they are easier to deal with tomorrow evening hmmmmm kitchen took longer than expected so have not started this one - it will have to be done tomorrow instead.
Well, not toooooo bad, and the house is certainly looking a bit better already. The kitchen is tidy too, so the aim of having it done before bed has been achieved :T
Duchy - you are so right, waste not want not.....we are very grateful for what they send our way.....all helps in the storecupboard challenges!!
Managed my second NSD of the month today - so very pleased with that - I need to get bits from the shop tomorrow in preparation for our student who arrives on Wednesday, so I need to make a list so that I don't overspend.....and then aiming for a NSD or two later in the week.
Moneywise, apart from the NSD not much......except the notification that some mystery shop expenses should be credited to my account tomorrow which will help reduce that shortfall by a fair bit.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. totally rude and unacceptable in my opinion ...now if you fancy sending some over my way so that i can check to make sure they are in date then i will gracefully accept0 -
