Hi Sunnyday, I don't have Sky, and it isn't practical to get it as I'm in a block of flats. Otherwise I would definitely have been considering it for the package deal. I might go with Tiscali instead (I don't have the option of TalkTalk as according to their website they don't serve my postcode )
I have been looking at switching power supplier too, but being hopelessly disorganised, my last year's bills are buried at the bottom of a pile of papers somewhereand I need to dig them out so I can assess my usage. Or did I sign up for their online service? I can't remember, but if I did, I don't need to find my paperwork do I... I am very slightly reluctant to switch from my current supplier (erm... current supplier, get it? No pun intended...) as they are my employer and I have shares in the company!
So I think the answer is to switch but to hope that other people don't
The state of the share price is mainly based on international business, anyway...
I don't think it's realistic to expect a vast saving on my power costs - I don't have gas, just electric, and am paying under £50 a month as it is. But I'm sure I could save something by switching.
My gym membership costs will come down in price by about £25 a month from October - it's actually the insurance premium bit of the PruHealth deal which will go down to almost nothing if I've built up enough points (which I definitely will have done). But in fact it doesn't really count as a saving, as the reduction was factored into the budget when I worked out the cost of joining the gym in the first place.Operation Get in Shape

Thanks Chameleon for the websites and the info MrsMP!
I didnt realise you had to have licences for tortoises now or that they were called Hermans! When I was growing up in the 70s everyone seemed to have them and you never thought about it! Just goes to show ya! So I've learned something today then!
I've just been and got The Golden Compass on dvd from Asda (released today) looking forward to watching that later!
Ivyleaf - hope LO gets better soon xx
Bargainrzl - I wont advise TAlktalk I had a terrible ordeal if you remember? What about O2 broadband? (I know its still BT) but they had really good reviews for their broadband service, but dont know if they have telephone in that? Friend of mine was with Tiscali but has just gone back to BT after they failed to transfer his broadband onto his new address.0 -
Oh, PENPIN - thinking of you. I know you don't want sympathy but please take these (((hugs))).

Afternoon all!
Not looked in on the Daily for a couple of weeks now
Currently sat at the computer despairing of my bright orange hands - decided to slap on some Boots No7 Sunkissed moisturiser last night (the one that slowly sends you nice and brown) Only thing is I seem to have got a bit too much on my hands and not washed it off properly before I went to bed...my poor paws look like they've been tangoed
Counting down the days until the weekend - OH and I are off to Devon for 2 weeks, plus it's my birthday next Monday so looking forward to a nice relaxing breakHave already done most of the packing
I've not had a particularly brilliant couple of weeks - nothing major at all, just been feeling a bit out of sorts and a bit flat. A holiday will do me good!
Trying to use up stuff in the fridge this week - have loads of carrots, leeks and onions, so made spicy carrot and lentil soup last night, and will make leek and potato soup tonight. Can then bung several batches in the freezer, so that's several meals sorted for when we come back from holiday.
OH has now booked his driving test, 17th June I think it is, so when we get back from holiday I'll be adding him to the insurance on my car so he can get some practice in. He doesn't kangaroo hop off our driveway and along our road at the beginning of each lesson like he did at first :rotfl:

Good afternoon!:hello:
Thanks for all the good wishes for DGS. I had a txt earlier to say he's much better today and is managing to keep down Dioralyte, and should be able to come home sometime this afternoon if he carries on okay:j
I'll offer to go and help DD tomorrow as I'm sure DGs will be clingier than usual for a while:rolleyes: DGD prefers Mummy to feed her but will make do with Nanny if she must:p0 -

The Hermanns tortoise is the common or garden tortoise that we know from our childhood they have to come with a licence now to prove they were breed in this country as its illegal to import them. The horsefield one looks slightly different (i think it has a more domed shell)SPC~12 ot 124
