Morning all  (squiggly - :kisses3:, PenPen - :grouphug:)

Got my menu plan done fo the next couple of weeks - braved Mr T, but he was out of a few things  , so will have to pick up at a later stage....

Hopefully, SC is on with Curry Queen's beef stew (it's in the mega index ;)). DS1 is gonna want dumplings, I just know it, so will have to bung them on when I get back. I always get confussed. Is it plain or SR flour for dumplings? Anyone?

Had roast lamb with roasts, honey carrots and spinach and bacon yesterday. Huuuuge bag of spinach, but my boys did me proud and wolfed the lot :T :T

Things are growing (finally). Toms, rocket, spinach all coming through

Big (((hugs))) to those that need them today. Hope it goes well for all you

Off to Robert Dyas for my animal scarer - Mrs T is going to have SO much fun when she's off w**k.......

    Hello Almo :hello:

Washing machine has just finished but I know that if I hang stuff out to dry it will pour with rain!

Only have DD here at the moment and she has a bad cold which I am trying not to catch.

No idea what to make for tea but have cooked potatoes so could make spicy wedges with salad or stuffed tortillas or else a Spanish omelet if the weather turns colder later.

Started knitting the preemie hat I had to unravel a day ago so hope I can get the hang of it.

DH said hopefully that the knitting reminded him of his mum knitting him a jumper when he was young. I somehow doubt my knitting skills will be up to it so he is likely to be disappointed.

    Martyn
hope you feel better as the day goes on.

Hugs to smokey, pennyp and anyone else who needs one.

Mrs Moneypenny - OO I'd love a tortoise!!! can I ask how much your baby cost? They are quite expensive I think, and it's also hard to find out where to buy them nowadays?

its an 18month old hermanns tortoise and it cost £150 it was my birthday/wedding annivesary pressie. i came with the certificate/licence and its house and a sheet of advice on what to feed etc.

The guy i got it from breeds them and put an ad in fridays paper for horsefield tortoises he had sold all of those but had 4 hermanns as well. he brought two round on sunday for me to choose from and went through some basic advice ie how long to leave the lights on for etc, where to buy the reptile sawdust/bedding needed, what to feed etc. They live about 70-100 years. I've already got the kids on their best behaviour to see who'll get bequeathed it when i pop off:rotfl: .
i noticed them advertised about a year ago and think it was the same guy so i think he regularly has batches of them.

A class room assistant brought a lovley big old tortoise into school last week it was a rescue of about 60 years old. possibly youd get the number of your local rescue group from the phone book or the rspca? she mentioned her mums friend is a member of the local tortoise group.

    :hello: mrs mix
    :hello: Taplady

:hello: and :grouphug: to everyone xx

Thank you to all those who wished DD a happy birthday yesterday, she was really excited to see it all!!! Think she had a lovely day, the chocolate fountain went down a treat, however, its not working (its not getting hot) so i need to send it back. Its a shame but hopefully they will send another.

Not much planned, here on my own at the moment, but have a LO here this afternoon. Im sat dying my hair at the moment and will be having a shower in a mo - nice to be able to have a mooch around on my own!! Had my last blood test this morning, so hopefully that will be it for a while, my levels have been very good, so im pleased!

Starting my diet today - i weigh more now than i did when i was pregnant so need to loose a bit. Ive had my wetabix, and im drinking water instead of my normal milky tea. Im going to have HM veg soup for lunch and will snack on fruit. Tonight will be fish with veg. I do need to make a cake for DD (didnt do it yesterday, but thought it would be better today when we had more people here to sing happy birthday!!) so will do that this morning too.

OK, better get this hair dye rinsed off - hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Morning everyone! Isn't it a lovely day? I am a bit confused though as I swear the weather man said it was going to rain yesterday and today and I (so far!) haven't seen a drop!

Sorry to those of you who have disappeared to that dreaded four lettered place! Hope everyone else is rested after the weekend (haha) and that everyone is ready for whatever this week throws at them!

DD and I are just about to embark on a massive card making session as I "rediscovered" all of my craft items (instead of having them hiding under my jumpers etc!) and I would like to use all of them so that I can have my dining table back!

Who knows maybe some of them will be good enough to sell (:rotfl: ) and I will get some of my investment in the stickers etc back!!!

Metherer - good luck with the dentist, I'm wincing thinking of you!
PP - hope all goes ok today
Ivy - hope your dgs is on the mend
Mrs MP - congrats on the tortoise, my dd1 was only yesterday trying to persaude me to buy one, feels like Noah's Ark round here some days! For whoever wanted info about them I'd suggest calling the RSPCA, they even used to have a tortoise hotline, my friend used to man (woman?) it one afternoon a week, lol!

    Well, good morning!

Girls did all their packed lunches last night, cries of what shall we put in I can't find any biscuits were met by only mild surprise when I told them I'm no longer buying them! dd2 leapt into the breach and made some choc brownies! Still it was nice not to do them today!

Frozen several portions of bol sauce that I flung in the slow cooker yesterday, remains will be used for a pasta bake for tea tonight. Must get some more of twink's hobnobs going in a bit - back to w**k tonight, and promised to take some in for teatime!

Not done a huge amount yet, just usual DW and WM, had to go and collect oh from the garage, car in for a service, good news being that nectar sent me extra points vouchers for a car service, so will give them to him to present when he collects the car later! Not worried about any probs, as thankfully his is a company car, so won't cost us any money if repairs are needed!

Must go and find the hoover now, not in it's usual home, hope ds didn't chuck it in the garage along with my table that he didn't like!

Have a lovely day everyone - sunny weather again here after last night's rain, but was nice that it watered all my new plants and seeds for me!
