Where can I buy a small tactical nuke?

After reading this thread I feel I could either just blow myself up with it because I have almost lost the will to live, or perhaps more usefully detonate it in a postbox in Bedford whereupon we might all be suffering from a free fallout of dodgy garlic pills until the next scammer sets up just outside the bomb crater...

    What a sorry saga....

PS I b4 E except after C. As in 'recEIve'. Got it now everybody?

Hi, as a newby to this forum..not sure if this is where to put this..
we are going on a cruise on the Sea Princess ...booked by thomas cooke ...and we have just recieved the forms , and a booklet which tells us about the excursions etc...then near the back of the it says that all passenger ( 1, 800 ) MUST pay 20dollars per person per day ..(we're going for 14 days to the med)...to be shared amongst the staff equally ...

now we are not scrooges , but we would have thought they would either pay them the proper wages ...and leave it to our discretion to tip...we havnt even been on the ship yet, so may not want to ...it just leaves a sour note...also they leave it to this late stage to tell us ...i think it stinks !! can anything be done to stop this ???

I am afraid you are on the wrong thread. This one is about the Vitamail scams. What you need to do is open a new thread on the Holiday forum.

    'Pensioner tricked in mail scam'
    York Press, 12th February 2007

A 96-YEAR-OLD man has been tricked out of more than £100 after answering letters from a medical supplies company. George Carter, of Huntington, replied to letters from the company Vitamail which sends mail out telling the recipient they have won £10,000 - but can only receive it if the place an order with the company...

  • Since my last posting on 6th March 2006 I can report that I have not received any mailings from Vitamail or from any other part of the Promondo Empire. Hopefully I have solved my problem foerever.

Best Wishes to all who are also trying to stop the Promondo Junk Mailings

    Hi Coralie,

I could not find your Posting regarding your cruise on the Sea Princess on any other Forum so am replying here. (If someone else has found it elsewhere please let me know and I shall reply appropriately).

The standard practise on Princess for some time is to add this Service Charge to your Account. However, you can easily opt out of this when you are on board all you need to do is go to the Pursers Desk and advise that you dont wish to be charged the Daily Service Charge. They will take your Stateroom Number details and ask you to sign accordingly and all you then do is wait to get your bill and check its been removed. You can also get little envelopes from the Pursers Desk to allow you to give tips to anyone who you feel has given you special attention. Your Cabin Steward is usually the main one and the waiters in the dining room. Enjoy your cruise. We were on Sea Princess in the Caribbean for 2 weeks in December. Excellent time we had.

    Best

my 72year old father is currently being sucked in by these disgraceful conmen!
he firmly believes his £10,000 is on its way!... i'm sick of telling him its a scam.. but each new fancy envelope and cheap and chatty product they send states "just one more order" and we're ready to despatch!
he's even incurred bank charges for going over his limit with the numerous cheques he sends to these cold calculating scumbags!
if i could personally get my hands on them i wouldnt like to repeat what i'd like to do to them.... why is our government allowing this? why aren't we allowed to sue the asses of these people??? how many more old and vulnerable pensioners are (like my father) going to be conned out of their life savings???
for the record .... vitamail products are total and utter cheap !!!!!!!
all i can do is read all the members in heres replies to my father in a hope that the penny (not £10,000) WILL FINALLY DROP!

Slightly off topic but still relevant I think ; Yesterday on the Three Counties Radio consumer programme a travel agent rang the show to tell them about a man in his 20's who is regularly coming into their shop to use their money-transfer facility to send funds to Canada. The travel agent asked the man why he was doing this and the answer was that he had won a lottery and the funds were for the "handling fees" etc.

The travel agent tried to tell him he was being conned and he was just throwing his money away . But this guy was certain he had won, and would not be dissuaded. So you see it's not just elderly people who are falling for these scams. The conclusion from the programme presenter was that this man will have to learn the hard way that he is being conned if he won't listen to sound advice.
