My experience, after death of the addressee, is that by ignoring Vitamail's solicitations, the mailings seem to decline over several months (indeed the 'postie' offered a month so ago to return junk mail himself).
However, a set of sticky labels, marked 'RETURN TO SENDER: Addressee no longer at this address', for returning junk mail via the postal service might help. But it might not.
What about writing to your MP/MEP, drawing attention to your circumstances and also this 6 year-old thread, and asking him/her why a significant and long-standing problem with fraudulent prize draws - targeting the elderly and vulnerable - still persists ?0 -
Perhaps I am being a simpleton but the easiest solution would be to prosecute the UK company actually making the mailshots. Foreign companies can change name and hide their identity to avoid the law but if they can't get a UK company to handle the actual mail distribution, then they'll wither and die.
It would be even simpler to have the mailbox closed. It's ridiculous that this has gone on so long without resolution.
No point ringing them as they use a premium rate non-geographic number.Never ever give your card details to anyone over the phone, and check the reputation of any company you do intend to give them to.0 -
I have bought vitamins from this website in the past and paid over the internet with a debit card.
Now I have received a bill from their 'debt recovery' dept saying I owe £5.00 which is definitely wrong.
The only discrepancy I have with them is that they failed to pay the adequate postage on one delivery and I was billed for that.
They are obviously a bunch of con artists and now I wonder just what I have ingested thinking it was a vitamin... urgh0 -

What about writing back, giving them 30 days to withdraw the demand in full, and if/when they don't comply, lodge a complaint with your local trading standards office ?0
