My mother has been targeted by Vitamail & bought loads of rubbish !! We as a family are disgusted that our govenment have no control over companies based abroad who target mainly elderly people. The envolopes she receives are full of leaflets but mainly saying you can win a certain amount of money --- RUBBISH !!!! Again I have spent over an hour recycling or shredding all the bump she gets from people after MONEY !! The latest is from the Netherlands saying send £14.95 or £19.95 postage to receive your FREE GIFT !! Unfortunately before I got wind of this latest scam my mother had sent cheques which she has had to cancel---if she is on time !! This is making a once confident person mistrust her own judgement. She had a Grammar school education and has always been careful with money!1 I cannot print what I'd like to do to these people as now they have rung & asked for her card details as she forgot to send a cheque and stupidly she gave it to them now we have that to deal with !!! Hope someone somewhere can sort these MUGGERS out!!!

What about a brief letter to your MP (cc. MEP), expressing suprise that the 'Vitamail' problem has been around for so long, questioning the effectiveness of the 'EU-wide Enforcement Network' and asking what the UK government is planning to do to fix the problem ?:

hi, i am confused-a few months ago i got some formal looking papers from vitalbeauty saying i had won 24,000 so i didnt order anything from the catalogue and just posted the stuff away. i never heard anything then a few days ago i got another through saying i had won 23.000
i presume this is all a scam?
any information would be great

Of course it's a scam. Did you enter any competitions? I bet you didn't. Please read the rest of this thread to see the true nature of this and similar companies.

Previously I had found a phone number of Promondo in France and rang them. The girl who answered the phone didn't speak English (or said she didn't) and when I explained in basic French my situation, she said no-one in the company could speak English. Strangely I find this hard to believe so I gave up on that one and will try sending the products back to the PO Box.

I live very very close to the 48 kimbolton road address in bedford.
It doesn't look like a business to me at all, just an ordinary house and I walk past it most days.

The only indication it could be business premises is the vertical blinds at all the windows.

I do receive Delices & Gourmandie catalogs and offers. I have been a customer for a few years now. I love their cakes and chocolates. As for the games, you have to read the rules to understand how it works. I didn't win. I hope I will one day though!:j we'll see.

No wonder there are a lot of people end up loosing their money.

Just wait untik tehy ask you to ransfer a few hundred £. Imgine £100.oo get trapped it is a lucratice business, is it not (criminal)??
