Good morning
Happy Birthday to Miss Catowen and Mr Natzini.
((((hugs)))) to those needing/wanting one. Help yourself, they are free.
DS, DD and I went to mass last night so no need to rush around this morning. :j Just need to get the ironing done and a very quick shop for lunch stuff and the rest of the day is mine. Got lots of housework done last week so I'm pretty much up to date.
While DD was at the swimming party yesterday, I had a look on the grabbit board and reserved the wii pack at ASDA for £179. Seemed a great idea at the time (I did save over £55) but I'm now wondering what to do with it. XDH and I spend a maximum of £100 for birthdays for DD and DS and £200 at Christmas. Need to speak to him about it and see what he thinks. DS was with me when I bought it and DD was nosy and *found* it. So they both know it's there and I can't see it being boxed up until Christmas. Oh well.
Need to get some chicken out of the freezer for dinner. Made some rolls last week using the dough setting on the Panny. They were delicious so I'm going to make lots more today. DD can have them for lunch this week.
Have a super Sunday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Hi there - just welcoming Vampiric Addiction and InSearchofMe!
Tackling the ironing at the moment. We have just had a spectacular thunderstorm that I'm sure was not forecast. The washing didn't get as far as the line.
Well, another short post because I've just remembered I haven't got the dough out of the BM so I'd better go and do that now.
See you all later.

Morning all (just)
Hugs to the poorly ones this morning.
Looks fairly bright outside, lovely warm breeze blowing in through the conservatory doors too.
Went to an engagement party last night - was dreading going - I'm so unsociable but it was actually really good fun....mainly because my DD's just wanted to dance all night and the DJ was doing loads of 80's stuff......any excuse eh!! Had a few to many glasses of wine and woke up this morning with quite a sore head......it's eased off now I've had some brekkie, feel like I could do with about 8 more hours sleep though.
Off to do our normal 6 month membership to our local hotel gym/pool....it's really small and friendly and we normally have the pool to ourselves, we normally only do a single membership and pay for DH each time we go but it works out a lot cheaper to get a joint one now. We did do our homework and phoned round all the local pools yesterday - cheapest family swim - off peak was £8.50.....no wonder people don't bother with exercise anymore.
Kitchens been swished and DW is on, going to chuck some potatoes in the oven for dinner tonight - will be nice to come back from a swim and tuck in. Need to iron uniforms but will leave the rest of the pile until tomorrow.
Hope you all have a great Sunday.....(well - what's left of it)"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
:hello: morning,..or should I say afternoon!
been to asda (expensive one with all the once a month buys ), doing some washing as I type, potted up a houseplant that had long outgrown its pot. Asda had a set of three ceramic pots for £3 which was just ideal and matched my new colour scheme. carpet has been ordered and so now we just need to order new blinds and a suite.
rest of the day...more washing, need to iron some school shirts, might do some gardening....yet again might just be a couch potato!
thinking about all who need thoughts...especially Pen Pin for such a difficult day ahead tomorrow.x x x0 -
Morning all !
Been a lovely morning, blue skies and sunshine, perfect for the local boot fair.
I was very good..........only bought two plants -couldn't resist them. Ex foster girl came with me and bought even more plants, then took some of my London Pride back home with her...............next door neighbour gave me a wicker hanging basket she didn;t want anymore..........just the thing for me, so all in all a good morning.
Clouding over now..............had planned to start clearing out wardrobe but having the morning out it's a job to get motivated now !
Oh well, maybe tomorrow
Have a good day and hugs ((((((((((((:o )))))))))))))) to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Good afternoon,
I made the hobnobs, just to see......everyone is eating them, even my three year old non-eater! He's never eaten anything made with oats before. I'm amazed, although from the rave reviews that they've had on here maybe I shouldn't be.
Mrs Mix, I hope your dad improves, and Pen-Pin, I hope your horrible day goes as well as can be expected tomorrow.
Right, I have three children in the downstairs toilet playing with water in the sink! Best go and mop up/see how it's going. They've made cakes this afternoon too.0 -
Hiya :hello:
Happy Birthday to Catowen's DD and to Mr Natzini
Catowen please tell me what you think of the choc fountain as I'm considering getting one for my DD1 too.
Hugs to Smoky and PennyPincher.
Hope everyone else is having a good day. I didn't make it to church this morning as I seem to be suffering with Hayfever at the moment and I had a terrible night because of it. I remember starting early with it last year too so I must be allergic to something that flowers early in the season.I never know what to take as to be honest everything I've tried seems useless.
I've had a busy time over the weekend as on Friday I went over to my neighbour's for a girl's night and last night DH and I went to see a great band called The Destroyers at The Bluecoat and even had a dance!
Yesterday we bought the wooden floor from B&Q for the front room which DH will put down next weekend. The prices seem to have gone up and the total price was £100 more than I had budgeted for, so I'll need to have another look at the finances and do some juggling.
The wm has been doing overtime today as I'm still playing catchup from when our visitors were here last week. I need to write a shopping list for tomorrow and I'm going to attempt to stay inside our monthly grocery budget. The prices have gone up so much so I will be shopping around tomorrow for the bargains, along with everone else.
I need to start the ironing but at the moment I'm just trying to ignore it.
Tonight's tea will be sausages in barbecue sauce with mash and carrot/swede.
Have a good day.:D0 -
Afternoon all,
OH cooked a massive fry-up this morning so not sure if anyone will eat dinner...doing beef pot roast with lots of veg and potatoes in same pot so it can do to-morrow if not eaten to-day.
Quite a nice day here, still not as warm as I would like but pleasant enough...just going to put on dinner in a minute and then knit for the afternoon
Hugs to Smoky and children and to PenPin for to-morrow
