Morning all

Not raining here yet. Was a lovely day yesterday, went to a barbecue and drank far too much, consequently had a chocolate binge when I got home. Am seriously thinking of starting Slimming World this week, but I'm a bit worried about the money side as this month is so tight.

Happy birthday to those celebrating (sorry have read thread and mind has gone blank).

Will take DS swimming later. Also need to do his homework with him. Managed to get some seeds sown yesterday and they are in the cold frames outside. Am rotavating the allotment on Wednesday. I'm finding all this thought of growing my own veg a bit daunting. I've already got about 50 chilli plants waiting to go in !

Off to have another cup of tea and do some ironing. OH is in bed as he's on nights.

Morning Guys!

Shattered this morning as I was up alot with OH last night. I think he had sun stroke as he burnt the back of his neck and his head as he has a shaved head. He is feeling better this morning though which is good.

WM doesnt need to go on today but DW is just about to go on and toilet has been cleaned.

I am really worried about tomorrow. I have an appointment with the oncologist (sp) then OH's grans funeral in the afternoon....what a lovely day! I feel quite sick about it all actually. His family arent close and always arguing. We have made plans to go round friends after being at the wake for a max of 1 hr, so we have an excuse to leave.
I eventually got my new INR machine to read my blood this morning:j :j it was higher than what it should be, so will need to call them tomorrow also...very proud that I did it though, especially with my fears of needles. I was shaking, but feel more confident for the next time I have to do it:D

DD is suffering with her monthly again. I really think she needs to see the GP about them as they seem very heavy to me for a 13yr old....she refuses though,but she cant have time off school really....what should I do?

OH got a lovely FR chicken out last night for dinner later. He has offered to cook again, so I wont refuse and last weeks roast was lovely. The steak he cooked last night was devine and just melted in mouth. I like it just pink but not bloody where as he and DD love it bloody and he cooked it all perfectly!

Anyway, I need a cuppa.

Morning all...am trying to spend more time on here as am doing well with my DFW ways but need to improve my o/s ways! GB is always my biggest expense!! Like others I have an allotment but nowt growing in it yet this year must get a move on although do now have 4 raised beds instead of 3!!!! janny could you flog some chilli plants at a car boot perhaps & make some dosh? Plan for me today is a trip to mr T, then make marmalade & jam as have orders for both & chilling this eve...made the bobnobs yesterday but they are so yummy that I'm going to have to take them to work as too dangerous to have at home!!

PP crossed post! If DD periods very heavy you can take ponstan which reduces the flow & good painkiller...She possibly doesent want ti go as embarassed but loads of people suffer & in this day & age with lovely meds no need to!! Big hugs for tomorrow...

Today I am struggline to get motivated. I have housework to do, washing and Ironing and some work I brought home as I did not have time to complete it Friday. Oh yes and cook a veggie roast.

Morning everyone!

Hope everyone is ok and birthday wisshes to the lucky birthday people today!

Busy morning today. Making sunday lunch for the in-laws as it was MIL birthday yesterday. I love cooking for other people so looking forward to it. Roast beef with all the trimmings and apple crumble for pudding, yummy, cant wait. Going to put the beef in soon so it can cook on slow for a while.

Other than that not a lot else happening, watching 'something for the weekend' at the moment, but always get annoyed with it cos all they talk about is football. Your not on Sky sports anymore Lovejoy!! Anyway rant over and better start cooking!

Morning all.

Just had breakfast (scrambled egg on toast) and am off for a shower in a minute.

DH's oldest sister and her family are supposed to be calling in the afternoon, and we're also supposed to be going to the garden centre with my parents, so I'm not quite sure how its all going to work out.

Whatever happens, I need to tidy up the living room and kitchen.
WM will be on shortly, TD is on as its raining here, and BM shouldn't be needed today.

Just looked in my bank account and got a shock, the joint ac is £80 over its overdraft limit! How on earth did that happen??? Not sure how we can rectify it, as my accounts are maxed and so are DH's. He gets money on Wednesday so its all going to have to go in there. Going to have to get some eBaying done later to try and boost our funds. (Have some St. George cross decorated DM's that can go on. Size 8 if anyone is interested!!)

Looks like it going to be a nice day again, not got enough washing for a load, which is a shame as its great drying weather.

DD went to the wedding last night, looking beautiful, quite the young lady, she slept the night at my sisters, they got in at 1.30 :rolleyes: , she will be tired tonight.

Pen Pin, I think I would be inclined to go to the DR on your DD's behalf, explain that she is embarrased, there is so much they can do to help her now, I suffered from heavy periods for years, and its really miserable, especially when you are at school, hugs to your lovely DD, and good luck for tomorrow xx

We have got a HUGE piece of beef for dinner later was reduced in sainsbugs, and will do us a good few dinners, we will have a roast at tea time when DD gets back. My lovely neighbour also gave me some rubarb yesterday :T , which I love, so will make a crumble up too.

I need to go and look for a strimmer at some point, might do that today, oherwise I feel a lazy day coming on.

I've just finished my first coffee, so still not awake yet
No big plans for today, am taking Mum to do her groceries later this afternoon. Have a mountain of ironing to do, hate it, but my excuse of not getting into my room due to the DIY is now over. Dh finished the room yesterday. I still keep wandering in and thinking I'm in the wrong house :rotfl:

Dinner tonight will be pork chops and mash.

DH is going to make me another coffee as I feel totally pants today, DD1 shared her lurgy with me (very kind!) and I am blocked up, sniffling and feeling sorry for myself. I might be able to get some TLC out of this one if I play it right

Martyn, you're sounding so much better todat and I'm really pleased for you. The part of the park you're moving to sounds lovely, it would be great o wake up to just the birdsong.
