shelly wrote:Hey Ember. I see the possibility of them using a needle is still worrying you. Please try not to worry about it as it might not come to that. I know women who have cysts in their breasts but they were left as they were, they didn't drain them but had the choice to if they wanted to.
Hi Ember
What shelly says is quite right, I had one of those shall we drain/shan't we's. If you are given the option then I would strongly recommend that you get the thing drained...it won't hurt that much honest!!! If you leave it you will be constantly checking and fiddling with it....it will be a constant reminder. Just put up with a moments discomfort, get rid of the little blighter and put all this behind you and move on with your new life.
As for constantly checking for new lumps...well that's not a bad thing so long as you're not obsessively doing it.
Good luck for Tuesday♥♥♥ Genius - 1% inspiration and 99% doing what your mother told you. ♥♥♥0 -
Hi Ember, just want to let you know I been thinking about you. Hope you've done something nice today, not been reading scary stuff on the internet! When I was younger (and still a bit today if I'm honest) I was really scared of the dentist. The only way I get through it now is picture the time of my appointment and then I just keep telling myself that half an hour after that time it will be over. I would agree with Allexie's point, if you have the choice of having it drained or not, I would get it done, that way you will know for sure you have done everything to put your mind at ease. BTW, what time is your appointment on Tuesday, I will be thinking of you and praying that all goes well for you. I will also know when to have to computer on for your post!0

Hello :hello:
Thanks for keeping in touch on what has turned out to be quite a difficult day. You were asking what time my appointment is on Tuesday. It is 9:30am which is a very early start due to the distance to the Hospital. I will have to leave home at round 8:40am to ensure I get there on time with it being morning rush hour. I will log on before I leave, please keep me in your thoughts and hearts whilst I am there as I am ending up going alone. Husband and I have decided that we can't afford to lose the cash we would lose if he takes a day off to come with me. We have to go to Scotland on Wednesday, return here Wednesday night and travel there again on Thursday to take delivery of the 2 beds which are coming. It's going to be madness Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday  I will be facing hundreds of miles travelling as the kitten is too young to travel with us at present so we have to return here Wednesday night, also, as I have done nothing to arrange any removals of the stuff being taken, (due to this horrendous week and all my stress and worry, just didn't care) there is actually no furniture there, no stuff, will just drive to Scotland, collect keys and come home on Wednesday. Back again on Thursday to take in the beds. At least there will be 2 beds LOL
Mother-in-law phoned again this afternoon, thought I had better answer before she sent people to knock on our doorShe chatted about her forthcoming holiday (she leaves airport on Tuesday!) to Greece. She knew something was wrong and when I started asking her if anyone in the family had ever had a breast lump, she just knew and started questioning me. I didn't intend telling her but it came out
She told me not to worry, it is just a cyst etc. I feel a bit upset I told her and am worrying about his sisters knowing about it. I am feeling a bit down tonight due to this and have started feeling the cyst constantly like I did in the beginning, trying to convince myself it IS just a cyst. I will be glad when Tuesday comes and goes. I hope it is the happiest day of my life, not the worst. I can't help worrying. I am not happy I am going to hospital alone, but as it is just a cyst, I can deal with it. I have to think about money too sadly and all this week has cost us dearly in time I have wasted doing nothing and arrangements that haven't been made which will now cause inconvenience. Wish I could have handled it all better, but I didn't. Just getting through the days/nights till Tuesday comes

Ember
You can only do your best depending what the circumstances are at the time.
Under the circumstances you are doing really well.
I would still be in hysterics and trying to hide under the bed- as it is a drawer divan - it would be a bit difficult.
Best wishes for Tuesday."This site is addictive!"

It's a big thing to do on your own, Ember, but if you're totally sure you're going to have to do it without company, remember we're all here. xMay all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

I will post the result as soon as I get home from Hospital, I have no idea when that will be as I have no idea how long it will all take. But trust me, I am in and out of there as soon as humanly possible!
I hate Hospitals, not my favourite place at all. Pity I can't take my laptop to hospital so I can post as soon as they tell me I HAVE A CYST but sadly, I can't log on there, I'll have to wait until I get home to let you all know. However it goes, I couldn't have got through this past week without all the support you have all given me, that I know for sure. I have been one step away from cracking up since I first found this lump and am very pleased I have kept reasonably rational throughout all this. I will let you all know as soon as I can get to a computer, I am so looking forward to TELLING EVERYONE I AM OKAY :j :j :j

Ember, I am sorry you have not had a good day. I'm sure you've thought long and hard about going on your own. Are you driving yourself? Is there really no-one you could ask to go with you, maybe a friend. I wanted to go on my own but I was grateful in the end for the company whilst in the waiting room. I'm glad it's an early appointment, means it's all over with quickly.0

Ember honey you will be fine. The FNA is really nothing to be afraid of. I had another one 2 weeks ago and I barely felt a thing and I am the most phobic when it comes to needles.
I'm off for my biopsy tomorrow afternoon so you can hold my hand tomorrow and I'll hold yours on Tuesday, deal?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
