Thankyou all so much ,we had a wander round a couple of charity shops earlier and picked up a few nice necklaces we are going to take apart as they have nice colured and textured beads .
My daughter is going to have a look at all the websites you have recommended and see if she can go an evening without facebook!
Will keep you all posted with our progress and thankyou all again.:T

Hi there, been enjoying reading and looking at all the lovely jewellery on here. I see that ISOM in a post above recommended you tube videos by Aunties Beads - I second that! I have found their website at www.auntiesbeads.com to be really good for inspiration and instructions for different projects - just look under learning center (as they spell it!) on left hand side.
I usually then just combine a few ideas and look for similar products from uk sellers, but I did get one order from them and was pleased with the quality and prices. Now that you can buy more from the USA before being stung for customs duty, I may well get a bigger order next time :j

Also I have found Palmers Metals to be good for sterling silver findings, price and quality wise - https://www.palmersmetals.co.uk But if anyone has any other suggestions for sts would be glad to know, as i need to restock soon :D

Just wondering where you all get your supplies from? I used justbeads and jillybeads in the past, but the former doesn't have the bits I want, and the latter seem to have hiked their p&p prices recently, so it would cost me more for postage than the bits I want. Any suggestions?

The Bead Shed in Carlisle, they also have a shop on Ebay, and the staff are wonderful, I also use Sanctury beads on Ebay for my findings. Hobby craft for the odd bit of wire.
