Here is a link to an auction for the rings from the seller I used. It is for 50 pieces and works out at 26p a ring but if you only want 25, contact the seller and she will put an auction on for that amount and I think I paid 31p for this amount but bought a few other things so combined postage made it around 29p each.

Hope this is the type you want!!!

    Regards

    Hello all you craft people

Mum and I would love to start making jewellery, in particular crystal jewellery using things like tigers eye.

I've read this thread and done an internet search, but was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to where to buy the crystal bits please:confused:

    Thank you

    Hi Scuzz

Welcome to the world of jewellery making. The silver corporation sell Swarovski crystal and they have free P&P which is helps to save a few pennies. :D

I made this on Thursday, the design is one of Lynn Davy's, it's her Nemesis Necklace design, done with a peyote spiral (peyote stitch is my nemesis!) and the focal bead was made by my fiance on Tuesday, it was his first ever attempt at a lampwork bead, and I think it's a lovely bead, so just had to try something different to go with it.

My spiral went in it's own directions at times, but I am not bothered, I love the necklace just as it is.

Jo it looks lovely. Can't see the focal bead much in the pic though-any chance of having a close up so we can see your hubby's handiwork!!!! You are very clever Jo.

  • Where are you all? Nobody has posted anything for ages!! I'm waiting on some hand blown glass beads for a *whispers* christmas present i'm planning to make. Also hoping to do a couple of craft fairs between now and the big day. What is everyone else up to?

  • what a fantastic thread, so much inspiration. I used to make my own jewellery about 16 years ago (blimey, now I do feel old!!). Things are definitely different, I think Janet Coles was the main supplier of beads in those days - long before ebay!

Has anyone made a rosary? I've been trying to find one as a present, but can't find one I like, so thought I'd have a go at it myself.
