As to the teardrop beads, I think that I have seen some in the Bead Shed in Carlisle. They do have an Ebay shop, which sometimes can be hard to find stuff, so I would suggest emailing Sooz who owns the shop, she is really nice and helpful and will know straight away if she has any or not.0

Hiya all,
Am about to embark upon beading big time and am having trouble finding irregular shaped glass beads...ones that somehow just look a bit more natural. Not semi precious (that will get too expensive!!!) can anyone help me out on where to get them, or even what search terms to use on t'internet?
Looking forward to becoming a regular contributor
Thanks in advance0 -

That sounds abiut right. Cheers Jo. I shall look it up. I've found this website www.beadsnjewellery.co.uk for charm bracelets (blank ones if you like) as that;s where I'm going to start. he seems competitive for them but I;m not no sure about other things. Where's the best place for freshwater pearls and swarovzki crystals?
Thanks again for this thread. I've spent all night working my way through it lol

Can't answer on the pearls, but I have got Swarovskis from Jem Junction (on Ebay), and I have heard that Jules Jems is also pretty reasonable.
I'm on a buying ban at the moment, I have more than enough beads to be getting on with (I could open my own bead shop!), the only thing I am allowing myself to buy is findings (it's been head pins this week).
I buy the chain in bulk, and then take off the amount that I want for the bracelet/necklace/whatever. I know that way you have to add your own toggle clasps, but not every one has a standard size wrist (unless I am just finding all the odd people lol)0 -

Love the wire wrapping- did you teach yourself? I haven't tried it yet, but really want to0 -
I just watched a couple of videos on youtube and had a go. I used 0.8mm silver plated wire which was quite flexible and easy to manipulate.0
