Angie ..... I am sure i bought them from Ang-attic-2008 .. a seller on ebay but there is nothing listed at the min with her but if you put 'ribbon necklace' into your ebay search there is quite a few coming up bids startihg at 10 for 99p in loads of diff colours .....
Also if you look at beads unlimited .co.uk they have really reasonably priced pendants ..... i havent ordered from them yet but i intend to as soon as i get myself organised. Think it was someone on here recommended them.??

Thanks BOBS will take a look!!!
  • £15 is about the average where I live (just outside Manchester). However there is one i'm looking at for a "Winter Extravaganza" festival which is £30. Sharing a table can lower your costs, but you have to manage your space wisely lol!

  • I love Angs Attic on ebay, she's brilliant. Really quick postage and bargains galore!

I've found the local fairs are expensive - I'd have to sell alot to even get back the cost of the stall!!! Also the fair I looked at the table size was so small that sharing wouldn't even be an option lol!!!!! Such a shame they charge so much.

I do an outside fair in the summer which is £30, for a 6ft table and gazebo. (much needed the past couple of years!). I manage to wangle a stall at the church fairs for usually about £15 (only for about 2 hours, but generally cover it). I have one booked in November which is going to be £10 and a two day event in December which is 10% of the takings.

When I was doing craft fairs the first time round (15 years ago) the stalls were averaging out at about £20 then!

I agree with adding height to the table, I usually do this with a couple of the plastic boxes you can get from poundland, and then balance a shelf over them, cover it with a table cloth and then I have somewhere for my necklace busts. I also have two cork boards which I pin things (usually necklaces) on to. Mug trees are ideal for putting bracelets and key chains on!
  • Hey peeps!

Long time no post- as someone said in an earlier post, work got in the way of my jewellery making (grrr)

I return with a question actually. A while back I found an on line tutorial for making flowers, like daisies with big glass teardrop beads as petals and a central round bead. The "petals" were drilled across the narrowest point (IYSWIM)

    well actually two questions

    1) does anyone know what I am talking about? and better still, does anyone have any instructions, please?

    and

    2) where can I buy chunkyish (approx 20mm long) teardrop beads

    thanks in advance

oh and to add, I am a bit in love with cane glass beads at the mo and bought some here v cheaply (compared to my local shop). They arrived today and are fab :)

    hth, mills xx
  • Millie please tell me where you got cane glass beads from v cheaply!!!!

    Millie

I haven't seen the flowers that you mentioned (I did mean to post when you first asked it, but something got in the way!). The only flowers I know how to do are the French Beaded Flowers and they are seed beads and wire all the way.

As to the teardrop beads, I think that I have seen some in the Bead Shed in Carlisle. They do have an Ebay shop, which sometimes can be hard to find stuff, so I would suggest emailing Sooz who owns the shop, she is really nice and helpful and will know straight away if she has any or not.
