When I was in the local market today one of the jewellery stalls was selling beaded phone charms, they were so cute I bought 2. One's a pumpkin with green leaves and the other is a Father Christmas. They had others such as cat, dog, chick in egg, snake, dragon, bunch of grapes, flowers, fish, octopus, birds, butterfly. They are some sort of bead weaving I think, I just wondered has anyone else seen something similar or does anyone have a web link
    thanks

Betterlife that is beautiful. I think on photobucket there is a little box on the corner of the pic that u mark so that it makes the pic small and people can click on it to make it big when they view!!

  • Hi,

I've speed read this thread as only back online after a few months...I don't think this has been mentioned but I buy all my findings from International craft.com, just google it for the website. I use mostly sterling silver findings and their chain is really cheap.

I have bought beads from them but like Jilly beads & mailorders beads best for beads and charms.

I suscribe to ukcraftforums and find that everyone there (certainly on the beads & jewellery parts) are really kind & helpful.

1 last word of warning tho for all you moneysavers thinking of starting...it is titally addictive, one minute it's 5pm and when you next lift your head it's midnight:eek:

When I find the courage I'll post some of my pics:undecided

    Hi Sandy,

I have just been referred to this thread after posting about my beaded charms on another thread and I came across your post.
I have been making beaded charms for the past few months.
These pics show the sorts of things I've been making - is this what you mean?

I started selling them to family and friends and they've been quite popular and then I set up a shop on DaWanda but not had much joy there yet :o I'll keep trying though! :p

Is anyone else into making these? I have some Japanese pattern books that I use - the diagrams are clear enough to understand without having to read the Japanese text so it's not too bad ;) .

Hi astral - those are really good. I haven't made any of those type things but I have quite a few Japanese bead weaving books that I love. I haven't actually made anything from them, I just love looking through them for inspiration mostly as the stuff made is beautiful. There are one or two evening bags I want to bead though - will have to save up for the delica beads.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
