CrepeSuzette - did you know that pinkdoodle.com only charge you 3% for selling something. It looks very similar to Dawanda but Dawanda charge 5% and they are planning to introduce a listing fee.

I think they both offer the same kind of service.

    Hi Angie100

Thank you for telling me, I will have a look!! have you sold anything on there before?

    Hi CrepeSuzette

I haven't but I know Jo_F has. I am thinking of trying it out though, looks quite good and you can use several photos free with an item. Let me know what you think!!

I ran out of silverclay boohoo! But my last peice was a square diamond pendant for my brother with both the kids thumb prints. It turned out nice and square and very neat and the prints were clearer than my last attempt.

While on a day trip to Lock Lommand I had a nose at the thumb print jewellery the craft cafe were making, and have worked out some new ideas to try. Firstly, I need to stop being so tight with the clay and use more so the peices are thicker and should in thoery, hold a much deeper print that will stand out more.

I need a new camera too as my own is not only broke, but crap at close up pics.

And I have *checks DH is not looking* spent about £22 on ebay on beads. I have a kit with a mix of glass beads and some findings to get started and then some lovely glass, lamwork and crystals to use as beads and pendants.

My next project is to try and make a silver clay heart with my neices name on it, and a necklace with some lovely lilac beads and things for her birthday. Then start on christmas gifts too.

I think I will post on the special occasion board's 'crafty xmas 08' thread. A list of my planned christmas gifts. I can't wait!!!

CrepeSuzette that bracellete is lovely!!! Is the clasp adjustable?? It looks like it is. Great idea means the child won't outgrow it too quickly.

    Hi tiamai

Your PMC projects sound lovely, when you get your new camera I'd love to see them. I took a PMC course last year and made a few things. The only thing I really wear is a rectangular pendant with heart stamped into it and a raised heart under it which I made by using a cutter. I must get back into it just a bit scared to use my kit unassisted!!

Thank you for the comment about the bracelet, it does have a safety chain that doubles as an extention chain so she will get a few years wear from it.

I just bought a kit and went for it, so learning as I go along. I need more PMC though, but a bit skint after the holiday.

The fireing is a lot easier if you do it in a darkened room. I use the kitchen with all the blinds closed, on top of the hob with the extractor going. That way I can flip on the light on the extractor when needed. But I found it doesn't take anywhere near the 10-20mins it claims on the pack! A few mins at the bright red stage, any more it starts to fry.

Been beading right now, and again it's a case of learning as I go! More fun this way!
