Hi and welcome to the thread - I ordered this exact set when I started out and it was the same seller also!!! It doesn't look as much when it comes as they are packed in little ziplock bags but I think it is a good set for somone starting out as it has a little bit of everything in it.0 -
Thanks Angie100, think I'll go ahead and get the pack, then get prctising!0

Just reading through all the posts here .... I have really got into jewellery making .... it is inexpensive to start and really rewarding when someone admires a piece you have made. I was really lucky I went to a beginners evening locally and the girl explained the basics of starting off and what was needed.
If anyone needs a few simple tutorials one of the sites I buy beads from the girl has made her own utube videos and they are great for inspiration and to make sure you are doing it right. http://www.beadsbylili.com/index1.html
Hope I wont get into trouble for posting the site ???0 -
Hi Bobs, always nice to see another bead addict.
I really must get my pliers out and make some more stuff, all I have done recently is 3 bracelets for my son to give out when he was leaving primary school, and a pair of earrings for a customer that need shipping to the States. (when I can get 5 mins to run down to the post office)
Why does work get in the way of beading all the time?0 -
Why does work get in the way of beading all the time?
I agree! Not done any beading since I made an ankle bracelet for a workmate of OH about 4 weeks ago!
If anyone lives in the Wigan & Leigh area, I've read a copy of College's course guide for 2008/09. There are jewellery making courses at quite a few of the 'other' locations (ie high schools / Sure Start centres etc) £25 for a 10 week course. They havent listed any dates or times, it says 'to be arranged subject to demand'.0 -
I have been lurking on this thread for a bit as I used to make jewellery. Just simple things, nothing overly fancy.
Today I got my kit out and sorted through the whole thing, I have made a few quick necklaces and was going to see if they sell at the car boot when I do one next.
