Hi Everyone
Have missed you lots! Not been on for what seems like ages. Work is manic as is home at the moment. Heading off on holiday next weekend so out buying toiletries etc today. Just can't find my travel iron (I think someone borrowed it and it is obvious I didn't get back!). Bought a new one in Argos today but not nearly as good as the one I had.
DH off on his trip on Thursday so getting him sorted out too. Forecast today was not good but in fact the BBC got it wrong. DH cut the grass and tomorrow I hope to strim the edges, do some batch cooking for the freezer and maybe a bit of a garden tidy up so I can plant some annuals and pots when I get back from Spain in 3 weeks.
Hope all those celebrating (or just celebrated) have a lovely time. Special mention to Smoky and Martyn and anyone else having ill health or problems just now.

Evening all :hello:
A late one from me today. I've had a bit of a topsy-turvy day on account of sleeping until lunchtime :eek:and since then I've been busy doing some notes for redruby to help her understand her new opera CDs (which has been a pleasure, by the way - there are few things I enjoy more than nattering about opera
) and pottering about the flat and into town.
Managed to get two chicken breasts reduced to 65p just before Morrison's closed, but forgot the onions, which were one of the things I actually needed
Just about to have courgette risotto for my dinner.
Hugs to those in need - glad you're having a good day Benthosboy
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Hi all,
Not had the wonderful day here that you seem to have had in UK...warmer than lately but windy.
Did a bit of shopping this morning and OH had to get some nuts for his family of birds, we have had huge numbers of goldfinch around for the first time in many years, as well as several types of tit, sparrows etc...lovely to hear their song.
Luca, the cat, was missing for four days and we had just decided that maybe he had gone to the great cattery in the sky, when in he walks, cool as a breeze and wanting his dinner!
Not feeling at my most energetic to-day, went for a lie down after lunch as I was nodding off in my chair but slept rather heavily for almost 2 hours and don't feel the better of it...my blood pressure tends to dive every so often, think that's it so must up the B vitamins to get it moving again.
Happy birthday again Stefejb, and congratulations to the Shezs...five whole years...wow!
Hugs to Smoky, PenPin and all who need or want one
Have a nice evening

Hi Purple
It is a mini iron (steam) which weighs not too much so you can put it in the suitcase to iron when on holiday. £9.99 from Argos. Only a small steam tank but worth taking if you can to get the creases out. We usually take one week's worth of clothes, do a bit of a wash and iron essentials!

Just wanted to say welcome to the new folk on here. It is wonderful how much our community is expanding.

Oh dear, our hamster is acting very strangely. He is almost 2 years old and I wonder if he is in his very twilight years. Neighbours looking after him when I go away next Sunday - I have a feeling he might not be here when we get back - have warned them! Some of you may remember when he went awol at Christmas 2006 - he has been a brilliant pet and my boys love him so much!
