Hello everyone
Hope all are well, hugs to those poorly or need of hugs!
Didnt post yesterday as had a bit of a down day. I have them every now and then, they usually coincide with a paticularly bad night with DS. He woke me up at 3am and i didnt get back to sleep til 7am, and then only for an hour! So spent all of yesterday at home in my pyjamas feeling sorry for myself.
Feel a lot better today and have been out for a long walk to the butchers about a mile and a half away and then to M&S to treat my self to a cup of tea and then home. think i walked about 3-4miles in total and DS slept for most of it and let me have my cup of tea in peace whilst he was impressing the ladies with his smile! At least it gave my H a chance to have a lie in as well as he was up a couple of times with him in the night. Oh the joys of children!
Making falafels for tea tonight and then going to start prepping lunch tomorrow. Having Roast beef with all the trimmings and apple crumble for desert so going to make that this afternoon. The In laws are coming over as it is MIL birthday today.
Everything seems to be going through ok for the house sale although it is still early days.
Have a good day everyone0 -
Happy birthday Stef
Happy anniversary mr and mrs shez
Many thanks for all my anniversary wishes on thursday. We had a nice night in front of the telly and a bottle of wine.
Not much to report today - have my cousins daughter here today as they have gone out for the day so she and dd2 are now watching enchanted.
Got all my washing done today and dried so pleased about that. Went shopping yesterday and went wayyy over budget - am hoping most of what i bought will stretch out over 2 weeks - might be scratching around at the end of next week tho!!!
Hugs to anyone who needs one

Hi Everyone!
I have been reading the message board for a while now and just wanted to add my "Hello" as I have managed to get nearly all my chores done and DH has agreed that my swollen ankles mean I should rest more and typing is good for bringing down swelling in the fingers!
Oh well better get back to the grindstone whilst DD is eating her lunch and watching a DVD!
Bye!!0 -
Welcome Pippad - this is the friendliest forum of all!
Need to get a move on soon - we have people coming for supper tonight so need to check all of the downstairs is presentable and get on with the cooking. Haven't stopped yet today, but all out of the house so far (taking DH to station first thing, then town plus hair appt. then big shop then lunch. Will now take dogs out and then get down to some serious HW!
Great to read RacyRed's riverbank post - have missed those of late. Congrats to all who are celebrating today and ((HUGS)) to all who need one. Take care.Resolution:

Afternoon everybody :hello:
WM is on at the mo for the second time today and a load is blowing on the line already. Not much planned for today, maybe will try another loaf in the panny tomorrow after my disaster yesterday. Bought digital scales to see if the accuracy helps.
DD1 is off out tonight to a wedding party so DH and I only have 1 sprog left in the house. She'll be off to bed early so we can snuggle up in front of the telly if there is anything worth watching.
Congrats to everyone for birthdays, anniversaries, new babies etc ( I have forgotten who already, sorry!!) Memory of a goldfish :rotfl:
Dinner tonight will probably be bacon butties nomnomnom
Off to catch up now, see you all later.

So... Tales from the river bank.
The coots have chicks.... again! 2nd brood this year :T The surviving "teenager" from the 1st brood isn't too impressed with all the screaming babies and appears to have decided to move out of the family nest and move in with... me!! Or should that be my Panny :rotfl:
I have a new bestest feathered friend - a solo swan. Poor bird was grieving so much when it first appeared a couple of months ago - swans mate for life, they just dont "do" solo once they are adult, so I'm guessing this one has lost it's mate. Whatever happened, It swims up for a nosh and a bit of chat late each evening and is calmer now than it was. And yes, all of my neighbours know I am totally nuts but relatively harmless, they should do, they talk to the swan too
Poor swan isn't allowed to sleep much though, the snaller birds sneak up on it and give it a good kick if it's not careful. But the swan soon discovered what else I'm good for... as a guard dog
Racy, I've just been catching up on your website, gorgeous piccys of all the feathered friends you have on the canalside. I've bookmarked it so I can keep up to date with all the happenings.

Afternoon All
Happy Birthday/Anniversary to all celebrating
I've not been on here for a few days as I've been networking with people overseas to try and get a job there.
Had a free trip to the theatre the other day to see the Rat Pack which I was reviewing. Went out for tapas last night with a couple of friends. Spent £20 which was more than I was hoping.
Had another letter from the solicitor over the flat - they want yet another £50. Also had a letter from the landlord saying I'm overdue with groundrent and have served me a final notice - I've not even received a bill from them and it dates back to January 1st - I only bought the place on March 7th:mad: So that's another £85 I've got to find.
Working tonight at the local speedway, so at least that will help. Waiting for my Spanish job to pay me too. Said they were going to process it yesterday via paypal, but I've not received notification yet.
Have fingers in many pies at the moment, including going for a job in Tenerife. Still hoping something might come up in Spain, but also a chance of America which would be fantastic.
Got smoked haddock for dinner tonight. And already enjoyed scrambled eggs with bacon on toast this morning. Had a luxurious lie in this morning which I really needed.
Done all my daily clicks for today and all the surveys available to me. Going to do some slice of the pie in a minute.
Hope everyone's ok and enjoys their weekendComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Welcome to Pippad. Hope you like it here!
Well, I've done quite a bit of admin work this morning so that keeps the pennies coming in! The weather is so beautiful that I want to get out in the garden this afternoon. DH is going to mow the lawn and, later, I might even sit outside with my knitting.
See you all later.

*Happy Anniversary Shez!
* Happy Birthday Stef
* Many congrats to Johanne on the new bubba, makes me want mine here now!
((hugs)) to anyone who needs them today
Not up to much today, just pottering round doing my jobs. OH has been working at the new house this morning and has now gone to footy, DD is playing outside (so i've been spared watching High School Musical AGAIN  ) with her friends so i've got a nice, quiet house which might actually stay tidy for a while without them in it :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a nice weekend
