    :hello: another day another dollar.

appraisal yesterday was not great. not that I'm not doing my job well, but I dont have bits of paper to prove it  "dont I have minutes of meetings with my colleagues?"
eh no. we talk, make changes and work hard (if we are really good we get a coffee break.) Manager thinks we should have time to do audits, have meetings, do lunch with our colleagues to strengthen our team ethic ( I struggled not to fall over laughing at that bit). This is the manager who has not contacted us since she took over last summer!
anyway she's coming back when I've had time to knock up some proof I work 8 hours a day....

tonight for tea...not sure. but large bottle of red will be purchased on the way home.

Where I last worked we had desk reviews every month and appraisals twice a year. At the desk review we had to fill in a form saying 'what had gone well' in this section we would have to 'big' up what we had done, and provide paper proof of it. Am afraid I come from the old school....you go to work, do your job to best you can. Could never get my head round providing proof that I had done it. Come the appraisal it was ....oh you havent provided much proof in your desk reviews. Last appraisal I had I was told I hadnt done much but they gave me a chance as had been off with a broken wrist. Thats when I knew I had to get out!

    Enjoy your bottle of red!!!!!!!

I shall try to warn people if there are gruesome details  (but I'm an old-fashioned girl, lol :A ). Not to say self-conscious :(

Redruby - you're not the only one who hasn't been on a proper date for a few years, lol!!! That's why I'm a bit nervous... lost track of the "etiquette" now.... not that there probably is any!!!!
Very relieved I won't have all of MSE spying on me  :D

Dazi - have a great weekend down here - the sun is currently shining :) I'll volunteer to go & spy on your DS if you want

Anyway, time to get kids dispatched to their father's for the whole weekend & then I'm free to do what I want.... :rotfl:

PS - Congrats Johanne & Auntie Nickie!!

Congratulations Johanne and Aunty Nicki on the new addition. :D

Hillstep2000 Good luck with the OFSTED next week. DH's school got their phone call this morning and are being done next Weds/Thurs.

Aussie Anzac Day is marked on our calendar every year as The Anzacs is DH's biggest hobby/obsession. He has tons of books, medals, uniforms etc on them and even went over to Galipoli in 1988 with a friend to do their own little tour of the beaches, finding all sorts of things from the battle. We're coming over to Oz this summer and he can't wait to visit some of the museums and memorials.

Well DH's American cousin left this morning so it was a bit chaotic at breakfast time but we all managed to get to school on time.
School was busy today and I finally caught the little boy who has been deliberately weeing all over the toilet walls, seat, floor etc every day. I gave him a real telling off and handed him the mop to clean it up and I don't think he'll dare to do it again.

We've got a busy weekend planned as tomorrow it's swimming lessons/orchestra in the morning for DD1 and DD2. Then we're off to look for a wooden floor for our front room. Tomorrow evening DH and I are going into town to see a band called The Destroyers. There are from Eastern Europe with 15 members in the band and they're a bit like Madness. My parents are coming over to babysit the girls.

I'm off out tonight to my next door neighbour's as she's having all of the girls around for a few drinks. At least I won't have far to stagger home.:rotfl:

    Have a good evening.:D

Hehehe love the idea - he flips burgers - not at maccy Ds bit further along, next to argos. Just tell him his mum sent you, you might get a free bickkie with your coffee!

Enjoy yourself tonight - its hard to start the dating thing again, I was scared  , hope yours is fairly local, moving 250 miles was hard!

    Hi all,

I have done my mountain of ironing today !! So quite happy with that.

Cleaned the bathroom yesterday and encouraged my DS to help  , I asked him to wash the floor you have never heard so much complaining whinging and swearing in one room !!! Believe me its not a big room. I had to get up (I am disabled) 3 times to look at what he was doing, I said I dread it when he leaves home and has to do these things on his own (he is 21) Anyway at least he did it !!! (well tried, well had the mop in his hands ok he stood in the bathroom lol)

Went to a Scouts Gang Show rehearsal last night, I am one of the producers. We had no piano and you should have heard the cats chorus, in actual fact there were dogs howling in the background it was that bad.

I had to laugh at the teenage antics I have a teenager and she is either really nice or really horrible. When she was younger she would scream I hate you and then storm up the stairs, my response was always I don't particularly like you either and don't forget to slam your door which always took away her thunder !!!:rotfl:

Anyway I had better go I'm new on here and I've probably bored you all already.

Hugs to all that need them
