Congratulations to johanne and Aunty nicki :D

I'm exhausted as DH and I dashed down to London yesterday for 5hrs to meet a couple about moving to New Zealand. They were there to basically give us advice as they'd done it 8 years ago. It was really good, but naturally there are so many more questions that we've thought of TODAY! We also had a yummy meal in Chinatown, which was a treat. :D

I had a pupil progress meeting with our esteemed leader yesterday. Needless to say, my class are doing very well and she didn't have anything to complain about! However, that was the first time that I'd seen her this week and today her car wasn't even in the car park! It seems that she's "working" a 3 day week. Most people are either looking for a job or leaving anyway due to her motivational tactics such as "If you don't like it, you know where the door is" as she said on the first day of term back in September.

We're back in London tomorrow for my birthday treat from DH. Afternoon tea at the Dorchester and then watching the last performance of The History Boys, which was a present from my mum and dad. Should be pretty good.

Soup for supper tonight as DH will have had a pizza today at work, being the last Friday of the month. It's commonly known as "fat Friday"!

Hi candygirl :hello: , she is fine now, you know what it is like, pets and kids are just the same, look like they are seriously ill one moment and hyper the next. She is back to her normal, mad self, mad dashes up and down the stairs laps of the front room, using the sofa and chairs as spring boards, worth every penny of the £50 :D

    Thanks for asking xx

    Evening all

    CONGRATULATIONS Johanna and family.

Have had a very productive day here today cleaning, feel much better about my house. Washing has dried and I now have a huge pile of ironing.

Made cauliflower soup for lunch and spag bol for tea. Think DS is having another growth spurt, can't seem to fill him up!

Looking forward to having a beer later.

    Have a good night all

Well thank goodness DIL is ok, she is in a lot of pain from her hips and pelvis cos baby is breech and very low down and she has to bedrest as much as possible. They will give her a c-section at 34 weeks if she is still in pain by then so fingers crossed. Thanks for all your goodwill messages yesterday, much appreciated.

Well work this morning, hair cut and highlights to hide the grey at lunchtime and then a bit of shopping. Actually saw yellow stickers in M&S today for the first time:eek: Never thought they would go down this route. Only soup and some potato concoction had them on but I will keep a beady eye out next time I go in there. Nightmare journey there and back, 2 lots of roadworks and temporary traffic lights to negotiate. Then coming back someone looked as though they were going too fast and saw the queue that had formed cos of the roadworks, couldnt stop and ended up in the bushes on the other side of the road with police and ambulance there. So an hour at the shops lasted nearly 3!!!!!

Off to load up the washing machine and set timer, good old Economy 7

    Have a good night everyone

PS Terrible memory for names but congrats on the new baby and good luck on the date - looking forward to hearing all the gossip tomorrow

Thanks for the get well wishes this morning folks. My eyes are lots better this evening, but I've never had conjunctivitis before, and when I went to bed last night I could barely see. The prospect of looking after my three year old on my own today was not inviting, but we managed ok.

I thought it was a virus - I didn't realise that it can make all your glands & nodes swell up.

I still have very unattractive red eyes, but at least I'm laughing about it now. Thanks again for your support.

Hi all. Been to the dentist-2 extractions. I have a very sore mouth and a swollen cheek. Was going to go for a brisk walk tonight with OH but the dentist says I can't and I have to rest. I'm looking forward to 8 0' clock-they said i couldn't rinse my mouth or have anything for 4 hours and I can only eat soft food for a couple of days and I can't drink anything hot:eek: Not a happy bunny!!!
Hope all are well and (((hugs))) for all who need or want one.
Squiggly - as redruby said i hope you have told someone where you are going tonight-when I used to date I always either told someone where I would be or at least let the date know that someone knew ;) I always had a backup plan-just in case!!!
