OS Daily Thread, Friday 25th April

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 25th April. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Purple one of my faves!
I'll never be the first to post in the morning, but I'm late up as I can never settle after chorus rehearsal. It was 10.30 when we finished, lots of excitement about the Prelim to competition on Saturday. Then Mr T's, then home for a bite of supper and a cuppa.

I should be doing a few jobs, but never mind, they'll still be there in the morning. Meeting a friend early afternoon, so will be good incentive to get sorted out early on.

Need to do some cleaning.

Need to plan next week's menu, including for some visitors on BH weekend.

Good Morning or Good Night, wherever you are in your day.

Naughty, naughty :naughty: Starting the thread before bedtime:rotfl: :rotfl:

Yesterday, had a reasonable day, but the highlight was taking DGS1 to feed the ducks ( and geese!!!!) and being caught in a hailstorm, followed by the thunder storm from hell:rolleyes: :D In the space of 10 minutes I went from dry to soaked through to my undies:eek: Where was a decent tree canopy when needed:rolleyes: DGS thought he should have the brolly, despite having a decent raincoat, which I most certainly didn't have:rolleyes: Needless to say, by the time we raced back to DS2 and DIL's the sun was shining brightly. But DGS2 was awake, so it was all worth it. Had a lovely cuddle with DGS2, and DGS1 waved me goodbye with * I love you soooooo much nanny* That boy will go far:rotfl: :rotfl:

Today my favourite Sis-in-law will visit. I love seeing her and my great nieces.( She tends to *mind* her grandchildren a lot) So I plan to be up early to bake some biscuits, in no small part because they're always so impressed:o ( A cheap victory, I know, but take it where you can get it is my motto:o )

I didn't get on yesterday, but will now attempt to catch up.

    ((((smokybabe and kiddies)))))

((((((hugs)))) to the poorly, worried or unhappy.

    CM xx

    Hello everyone,

It's Anzac Day here. I had intentions of going to the dawn service but I was a bit of a whimp at 4 am. DGS here today and he and Poppa are doing some digging in the garden so thought I"d come on here for a browse. Just made pikelets for morning tea which I love & have eaten too many. :D

Going to take Benny for a walk up the spit shortly so hopefully will walk it off a bit. Cool wind here today. YS comes home tomorrow. We have to pick him up from the airport at 8am so a early start to the day. I've finished my bean bag BUT it won't fit in the cover  so I will have to take some of the beans out and shove it in and then put them back in. Sigh.

CM Oh well, that's your shower for the month taken care of. :D
MrsMix  Hope Dad is doing well.
purpleivy Enjoy meeting up with your friend. It's always nice to catch up.

Well I've been told they are ready for our walk. So I better get going. Hope you all have a lovely day. <hugs> to Smoky & those that are poorly. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning.

Day off for me. So I am going fishing. A friend is launching his boat in the water for the season, so I am going to help get all that done and on the moorings. WE will of course have to nip out in the bay and see what fish are about.
Weather is pants as normal, so may get a little wet in the showers.
I ate too many hamburgers and beans last night with serious consequences. I was told to sleep elsewhere.:rotfl: .
Off out tonight with work for our monthly social. It seems like we always go to Wetherspoons now as the prices are so cheap. Can't touch the local pubs anymore. Might have a zebu steak, or a microwave curry from there too.
well best get my tackle out and ready.
Cheers and have a nice day

curry & beans N9eav.....nice.....lol! Was the garden shed comfy then???

So I'm one of TNG's select group of laydee's then.... :kisses: :grouphug: Should I be getting involved in this sort of thing....?!?!

Awake about 5.30am, tried for 20 mins to go back to sleep, then decided I might as well get up & make tea. I wish I could sleep later sometimes... Will go & get another cuppa in a minute. I should put some washing on/out or do something OS, but haven't summoned up any energy yet.

Off to uni for a lecture this morning (and of course to gossip/catch up with mates), then out on a date this evening with nice internet man I met last week!!!! Apparently I am going to get a good thrashing...... at 10-pin bowling... :) Will be good to get out for a change and see how things go....

((((((smokey, anniebl, penpin, martyn))))))) and for everyone else who needs them. Welcome to more newbies - OS is proving very popular... :) Have a good day all.

Hugs to Smokey, PP & everyone else in need.
Off to work soon, woohoo, it's friday, lol.
It was payday yesterday & I got an extra £60 for all the extra duties I'd done, it makes all the abuse seem worthwhile.
Hubby's head is looking much better & it didn't bleed during the night, paper stiches worked really well.
Katy cooked for us last night, unfortunately it wasn't ready rill 11, by then we were in bed & asleep, so I'll take it to work today instead of a packed lunch.
    Have a good day
    Hugs Hester
