    :hello: another day another dollar.

appraisal yesterday was not great. not that I'm not doing my job well, but I dont have bits of paper to prove it  "dont I have minutes of meetings with my colleagues?"
eh no. we talk, make changes and work hard (if we are really good we get a coffee break.) Manager thinks we should have time to do audits, have meetings, do lunch with our colleagues to strengthen our team ethic ( I struggled not to fall over laughing at that bit). This is the manager who has not contacted us since she took over last summer!
anyway she's coming back when I've had time to knock up some proof I work 8 hours a day....

tonight for tea...not sure. but large bottle of red will be purchased on the way home.

    Morning

Ruby, glad your weather is nice, I'm, with N9eav, it's pants here as well. Oh well, at least it's not raining - yet

Good day on Ebay yesterday, I sold some vintage toys, and they went for amazing amounts :j I'm sending them special delivery, I'm not going to trust Royal Mail ;)

Left over curry for lunch, and leek and bacon bake for dinner.

Hope everyone has a good day - N9eav, hope you catch loads of fish.

    Hi all

I asked a question on the debt free wanna be board and i felt i was really 'shot' down and put in my place! This really upset me as i was only asking a question. My confidence is low anyway at the moment and i've been having a really bad time at work lately and i really didn't need this on top of everything...anyway...i just wanted to say that all of you have always been lovely on this o/s board and i think i will just stick to posting here from now on!

I'm so glad to be part of our o/s community! Thanks all

    Good Morning

N9eav - too much information methinks, enjoy your fishing
    (((Smokey & PP)))

After a lovely start yesterday the weather turned horrible, isnt looking nice here at the mo so will be doing washing and drying it indoors. OH picked up the wood for the raised beds but couldnt start them because of the rain.

Today am going to concentrate on housework and washing with some paperwork this afternoon. Think will do chicken curry for tea.

    Have a lovely day.

    Morning one and all.

It's a bit grey down here but it could be worse. Have been up since 5.30 after another decent night's sleep so I've managed an hour in the forest with the dogs, had breakfast and am now on my 3rd cup of tea.

Catching up with finances tonight and the Witch is going to have a SERIOUS haircut  She's the sweetest dog I've ever had the pleasure to know but she's looking a bit, err, tatty at the moment :o Might get some baking in the oven as well if I get the chance. I need to regain my lost stone in weight as my energy levels are disturbingly low  And I forgot to mention that I'm thinking of going after a job I've seen advertised on the web. It's similar to what I'm doing now but it's in Kent which is an area that has no "us" memories. I've enough to deal with at the moment but I can't help thinking that moving away from here will be a good move

Have a nice day all and my thoughts are with anyone who needs them.

    Man try :D

Kippers, stick with us, cos I am nosy I found your post, and they were sharp with you, as I said stick with us. Hugs to you x
  • Aww, Kippers, that's not nice.... OS is definitely the best place to be :)
Edit: I just took a look too - that particular person sounds like a complete idiot... unfortunately there are a few of them around these forums.... :(
Dogrose, that must be so frustrating - you & your colleagues know you're doing the job fine, so somehow you have to take heart from that - but not easy when someone who doesn't know what's going on comes along thinking they do....

Morning, despite feeling worn out I got up at 5am and made some pea and ham soup for lunch, we didn't manage to get the shed up or the fence as rain held us up. Hope to finish today as SiL is back tomorrow. My back is killing me and muscles I didn't know I had ache. Can't wait for Sat. so I can get back to OS big style. Cooking, cleaning basicly anything but gardening.

I had a quick read through yesterdays thread and all the teanage tales really took me back. When DD1 was being difficult I made her watch The Val Dooniigan Show sat on a dining chair right in front of the TV, I woulld sit in the room and make sure she watched it, DD2 had to watch The Paul Daniels Magic Show. They soon changed their attatude ! :rotfl:
  • Betheebee, that's brilliant, lol!!! I have 2 teenage & 1 nearly teenage DD's... all of whom flounce around & constant bickering with each other....

I nicked something from someone's signature (sorry, can't remember who right now but will give due credit when I find it again :) ) & printed it as a poster which I've got on my fridge - something like "Teenagers! Fed Up with Stupid Parents?? Quick, Act Now - Leave Home, Get a Job & Pay All Your Own Bills while you still know everything...." I thought that was fantastic too.
