It was a girlie fluttering her eyelashes and baring it that got me in this state in the first place :o:D

  • You're not the only ones wanting juicy details - so do my uni mates.... And I won't even tell them exactly where I'm going as they're likely to turn up & haunt me,lol!!! They've all threatened to text me all evening & they're acting like my mother  I am looking forwards to it, but it's very strange.... bit out of practice with all this :) But I promise to let you all know whether I was well & truly thrashed at bowling.... (most likely yes as I'm hopeless, lol!)

Martyn - don't knock it, one day there may be another fluttering girly to make you smile :) A little bit of flirtation can do wonders for the ego....

R.mac - sorry don't know what to suggest other than refresh or close the internet browser & reopen?? Reflexology is great, I used to go regularly - don't know how or why it works, but it does... :) Enjoy.
Christabell - I have an interesting mental image of your laptop locked in another room trying to break the door down & get back to you, lol!!

    Afternoon guys:D

Not much happening here, been to the doctors this morning as I have been getting bad headaches, had new specs a few weeks ago but still getting them:confused: anyway I have been told to slow down a bit:rolleyes: learn to relax and do nothing:o I can't do that   my BP was 148 over 90 and they want to monitor that so I have to go back 3 weeks on the trot. So after being told I have to slow down a bit, I went to sainsburys did some shopping then to focus and got some fence paint ready for me to paint it at the weekend, so much for me slowing down:rolleyes: and ideas on how to chill out for someone who is always on the go?? I hope you are all well ?

    Afternoon everyone :j

Have been rushing around like a mad woman here. Meat sliced, bread made, will make up sarnies later. Batch of Twinks made. Will be taking flasks of hot water and coffee etc, sad that I am have worked out that this will save us loads, usually stop twice on way down, coffee and sarnie one time, coffee and 'something' second time, usually spend about £30 at least, meat cost me £2.99 and rest of stuff came from cupboard so would have used it anyway over the weekend.

Hoovered and dusted till nothing left, dunno why cos after a weekend away when we get back it will all be dusty again lol.

Rang parents and told them they would be having visitors tomorrow - we are being taken out for lunch yum yum :D

Cancelled one of the places we were staying in as original choice suddenly had rooms available  , still doing 2 nights in 2 places as no-one in my circle of family and friends live near each other

Hope your date goes ok Squiggly - shame it wasn't tomorrow night - I could have spied on you :rotfl:
May be in your town to pay suprise visit to DS at work on Sun morning, not made mind up yet as DS has not been in touch with me for ages (not even a text on my b/day which was also mothers day) I text regularly but no reply, he lives with his dad and seems to get more like him as years go by :rotfl: , saying that will prob visit him as am a soft mum lol

Can't wait to see DD & DSIL, also the bump shes 34 weeks now, but suffering badly with back probs, has been given support to wear, also babe is still head up.

Please forgive me for rabbiting on, 5 years on I still get so excited at going back to visit - wont sleep tonight - am like a little kid :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good weekend, cya all next week.

    xxxxxx

    Afternoon all,

    Smoky, PenPin Anniebooklover...hugs.

Bit late, but happy Anzac Day Aussie...I had a great uncle living in Mackay in 1914 who was a member of the Australian Expeditionary Force and 'sailed to war' from Sydney.

Nothing unusual going on in Mean Mansions, dinner will be pork chops, spuds, turnip and peas, anyone needing pudding can have fruit and/or ice cream.

Dry here but windy and threatening showers...hope garden stuff we transplanted the other day survives.

Edited to post this for all mothers of grunty teenagers:

Oh, to be only half as wonderful as my child thought when he was small, and only half as stupid as my teenager now thinks I am.

    :hello: another day another dollar.

appraisal yesterday was not great. not that I'm not doing my job well, but I dont have bits of paper to prove it  "dont I have minutes of meetings with my colleagues?"
eh no. we talk, make changes and work hard (if we are really good we get a coffee break.) Manager thinks we should have time to do audits, have meetings, do lunch with our colleagues to strengthen our team ethic ( I struggled not to fall over laughing at that bit). This is the manager who has not contacted us since she took over last summer!
anyway she's coming back when I've had time to knock up some proof I work 8 hours a day....

tonight for tea...not sure. but large bottle of red will be purchased on the way home.

I was on some appraisal training last year with my line manager. The training was about how to do an appraisal effectively, properly, thoroughly etc.

Did i feel my appraisal this year was effective, proper or thorough? NO, i did not!

Managers seem to forget that appraisal is a time to praise staff for their hard work and make them feel valued and appreciated. Not a time to tell staff what more work they have to do in their already over streched working life!

I bought my staff a cream cake for their appraisal. Did my manager get me one? NO. Sign of a good boss if they regularly provide cakes i think :D

Dont take it too heart too much, your boss sounds like she hasnt got a clue.

Latest on the stropy teenager saga - noticed on his calender in his room he has marked in 'behave for 1 month and mum might get me a dog' what on earth  think i'm quite safe there then!

One minuite he wants a puppy the next he's tellin me he thinks he'll have a drink at the weekend! Flamin nora he's not even 15    Over my dead body sunshine. Aaaahhhhhh one day i'll chuckle to myself about this i'm sure!

OH starts new job next week, more money so fantastic :D cant wait!

    Yhay the weekend :T
