BT Retail - new line installation offer: £29.99

What would happen if you had to move before your 18 months is up, would you have to pay them £125 to connect the new place?
The reminder of the 18 month contract goes with you to your new address
As to whether you would need to pay £125 for a installation at your new address depends on if there is an existing BT line or not.
You can only take advantage of the £29.99 rate once every 18 months.

Thank you it was brilliant advice0 -
hello,
I have read this thread with interest because i have just moved house and I want to use BT.
I have contacted them and they admit there is a BT line at the property (they even offered me the old number there) but insist I need to pay £125 to use the line.
When I explained that I thought this was a charge for brand new lines only the lady said that 'that used to be the case but now we charge everybody'.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me because it does not seem correct.
Many thanks

This all happened when Ofcom in their great wisdom decided to separate BT's retail operation from their wholesale one.0 -

But this thread gives you all the details of the £30 deal.
If the line does need to be connected, then firmly insist on this deal (as long as you are happy with the Ts + Cs of course).0 -
Now you've been caught out!
Read the thread again (page 1) to get details of the new offer.0 -

Thanks. Had missed it,0 -
Tried to join this offer today, I was told that the offer was only for customers switching from cable.
Any one had this problem? Did anyone get around it0
