For sometime now I've been considering going Freeview but need some tech help in choosing the box.
I neeed help because while the UK broadcast on UHF my signal from the Republic of Ireland comes through via VHF and therefore if I hook my tv upto a freeview box I will loose my RTE signal.
I have read somewhere that there is a soloution and that is to get a digibox with a loop through signal (or someting of that nature).
Have any readers ever come across this kind of box. I'd greatly appreciate any assistance.

You won't need to do anything. The channels you'll still get are all the ones you get if you take your card out now (don't worry - you can do that and just put it back in again in a few minutes) as well as Channel 4, Five and Sky Three.
Unfortunately you won't get all the channels that are on the terrestrial Freeview. So no E4, More 4, FTN, The Hits, Sky Sports News, ABC1 or TMF! And probably a few others I can't think of.0 -
