Tesco own label peanut butter has been gone ages but noticed some this week. The value stuff seems to be slowly being repackaged as some other range but blowed if I can recall the name!
Quick check of some cereals would suggest 'discount brands'.0 -
Lets get real about supermarkets, none of them are in business to provide food for us, they are in business TO MAKE MONEY. So the cheap lines don't make as much profit as the next price bracket, so they stop selling them. The only things we can do are a) buy shares in the supermarket of your choice. and b) play them at their own game (much more satisfying) and buy as many "marked down" items as you can, trust me, they still will make a profit on the 10p loaf you bag at 10.0pm!
Go for the "Bargains" chaps, keep the b.......s on their toes.:T :T0 -
I have been getting the big bag of value onions at tesco for years. In the last couple of months it has been impossible to find them. They're always out of. I am paying twice as much for onions now :mad:GC March Wk1 £28.72/£30 Wk2 £28.4/£29

I'd love to but my local Mr S and Mr T's only seem to flog reduced stuff like organic sausages which have been marked down about 50p and still expensive and hardly a saving or ruddy ready meals
the bargins I see people posting on here are rarer than hens teeth my way. Not to mention with 2 young kids going to the supermarket at 10pm isn't exactly easy.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I've noticed the disappearance of value lines in Mr T, but our local Mr S seems to have more of them. I often drop into Mr T on my way home as it's on the way, and I haunt the reduced aisle, which is much more busy these days.Surviving the ups and downs of life with DH

My colleague works part time in tescos, she says theyre removing the value lines and replacing it with what they call "bargain brands" or something similar....cheap(ish) stuff that's not branded as tescos....no one seems to know why.

Our Tesco stopped doing the packs of value peppers for a while - I think everyone went to Sainsburys for them instead though as they've brought them back now! :rotfl: I bought value honey a short while back - it's now in a squeezy bottle, not a jar, if that helps?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
