Meeting new people with little or no money - Is it possible??

No you are not the only one. My friend is in money trouble and stays in on fridays and saturdays mostly and I stay in fridays and saturdays too. this friday my daughter is coming so I will be busy with her. Its not like we can go to a bar alone is it.?
I went to a bar on my own one time when I was waiting for my friend and some dodgy guy approached me as soon as I sat down and so I downed my wine and left sharpish.
The thing is my money situation is not as bad as it was (so probably I shouldn't be on this thread.:o ) But I do find it hard to meet people just in general. (Maybe I should start my own loner thread.)HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

hi,
I stop in every friday and saturday (and Sunday to Thursday too). I am well up on tv at the moment and I spend a lot of time on here....
I would never go to a bar alone ... i tend to attract a certain type of person anyway so that would just guarentee it.

Hehe I just thanked you instead of quoting you.
What is a cult book club? I know you explained a bit but what would be an example of a book you would read?HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

I stay in Friday's and if I do go out Saturday it is say to the cinema with my mate or just go over to his house watch TV and put the world to rights."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -

I shouldn't be in this thread to be honest as there is nothing wrong with my money situation, I just thought it looked a good thread for meeting people on the cheap!
Well that is very MSE of you haha.:A You might make yourself more desirable by telling people you are financially solvent. I sometimes read the singles ads in the local paper and that seems to be the number one thing women look for. (Not all women btw, I hasten to add before someone jumps down my throat.):o
top_drawer - that sounds bit weird.
Have you people gone to any MSE meet-ups?HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Very MSE indeed, I call it being sensible, my ex called it being tight.
Nah, I've only been posting regularly for about a month, before then I was Gambling Loopholes !!!!!!So I don't really 'know' anyone enough to travel across the country.
Next time though, if it is near(ish), I'd probably go."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"

Where abouts are you from? Sorry I am being very nosy but I am extremely bored today (no offence) I don't normally even post on here that much since I paid off my debts. I saw that they had meet-ups here but what do MSE ppl talk about when they meet? BOGOF offers?:pHOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

mmm well it was a very wordy sort of book but that was basically the story - the author fell in love as a teenager with a another teenage girl and as he grew older his attractions never altered .... he was very long and drawn out about it tho (Mary Shelley comes to mind) not at all racy/Maxim or anything.
