OK guys in a nutshell - should I stick to my 7.5 version or go for the version 8?

Personally, I think it detects more 'false positives'.
I have removed Vn 8 and, because I think they will stop updating Vn 7.5 is the near future, have now installed Avira Antivir. So far so good.
I will continue to use Spybot S & D, SpywareBlaster and Superantispyware to run routine scans.0 -

I completely agree, matches my testing. I wouldn't use it on a main PC at all.0 -
Tried it on 3 different machines with memory up to 1meg and on XP and 2K. Slowed them down so much I thought I was back to using Nortons again. Uninstalled them all and put back to 7.5. Only trouble here is that the blooming splash screen comes up telling me to upgrede. No thanks.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Is there anyway to disable the popup in 7.5, to stop it telling me that v8.0 is available?
I'm gonna stick with v7.5 for now, but that damn popup keeps nagging meWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -

Me too!!! It's damned annoying having it pop up every day.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
