    what's your secret ;)

I can tell you my secret...its cause I'm such a bad cook when it comes to baking, it can be in the cupboard a week and then I have to throw it out or give it to the ducks!

    Hi guys,

I am keeping the kids clean and tidy and fed and going through the motions with them but that's about all I can manage.

    Smoky.

Smoky The above is more than enough, as long as the kids are fed warm and loved, NOTHING else matters, they just need you near at the moment, in years to come they will remember what a tower of strength you were to them, they will not remember if the bathroom/kitchen was clean, just keep loving them that's all they want. Big hugs to you all xxx

Well, my daughter went back to school today, was efficient and made her packed lunch last night, so was a relatively stress free school run.
This afternoon we've been and found a local chicken farm where they sell a dozen free range eggs for £1.20...they are massive compared to the ones in Tesco and are less than half the price, will have to do some baking now just to try them.
Dinners ready for today....cooked pea and ham soup in my slow cooker yesterday (had the joint of ham for dinner last night...plus the left overs went in 2 homemade quiches and in daughters sandwiches today). so its the soup with crusty toast for tea :D

No its ok I am JUST about ok, just finished, three hours to clean a 13 yr olds room, the things I found (need a vomiting smiley here ) I found what I think was a rotton apple core, bits of old lunchbox food, and enough dirty washing to fill the empty this morning basket  . I have also removed THREE bags of rubbish, and four bags for the charity shop.

Oh and I found her PE shorts stuffed down by the bed, what has she been wearing  .

Now i know all this makes me look like a sluvenly (sp) mother, but she gets an allowance for cleaning her room, obviously her type of cleaning involves hiding stuff under the bed, in drawers and the wardrobe when I am not looking

Im going to be doing a TRU tonight :D

Was just going to post the same, nothing else matters, as long as the kiddies are seen to plus anything like solicitors/money matters that need to be sorted out (as obviously you dont want any extra worries right now). Everything else can wait until you feel you can do it but its all one step at a time. I'm glad you have a supportive family around you to help out too.

    Sending you huge hugs Smoky

    Take care

    Hello everyone :hello:

I've got the afternoon off so I'm on here earlier than usual. And it's sunny and warm here!!:T So pleased, I just hope it lasts, I'd really had enough of all that cold weather.

Mummysaver - hope you're happy with your hair now! I've just braved the college hairdresser and am really pleased. In fact the tutor was so impressed with the lady who cut my hair that she took photos for her portfolio!!

Right, I mustn't spend ages on here, I need to make good use of this spare time (and energy) that I now have and get some jobs done. I keep thinking about trying Twinks' hobnobs so I might get that done. OH is out for tea so I'm having the leftover stew from yesterday (I don't think there's any actual meat left in it but there are lentils in it so it will be a proper healthy meal).

    ((((HUGS)))) for Smoky and Jussy.

    Take care everyone.

I tend to use just the dough setting thesedays, then turn out in to loaf tin(s) to finish in the oven. Comes out better than BM IMHO :j
