Hi - Just popped in to say how good it is to see Smoky posting. As everyone says - you're doing great. Just get through one day at a time for now. Your little ones are your priority - but take care of yourself too. Loads of ((HUGS))Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -

Wow, sun in takes me back a few years!!:D It reminds me of the time I went on holiday with a friend, and at the breakfast buffet we would smuggle out lemon wedges (I know - how daring) then squeeze them on our hair before sunbathing!!!
Made Twink's hobnobs, I split the mix and made some plain, some with ginger and some with cinnamon. Delicious! I'm putting half in the freezer before OH gets home or they won't last. Thanks Twink!:T
Oh, I also cleaned my kitchen but that isn't as interesting.0 -
Evening!
What a busy day at work. But I was really in the mood for it so sailed through eveything.
Just done my daily clicks and a couple of surveys. Joined slice of the pie yesterday so will see how that goes and still waiting for writers share to come back on line so I can join that too
Dinner is a carbonara tonight made with creme fresh instead of cream.
Not spent anything today which is great. Think my holiday to Spain is on hold thanks to certain family members. Ah well, more time to save for a better one. Maybe Florida will come through yet...
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Just popped back to say
Jussy - sorry to hear of your loss x
dlb - good luck at the weigh in! and well done to your DS for yesterday!:T
redruby - I have a room a bit like your DDs upstairs belonging to my DS2(15) can just about find the carpet! DS1s is immaculate now he's left home!:D he's only back at weekends and cant make too much mess in a couple of days!;)
Catowen - hope the doc and dentist went ok!(and the potty training:D )
off to watch a bit of tv, see you in the morning!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
I could have sworn that I posted this morning, but no sign of it.
I picked ds up from nursery after work, pulled up outside home the same time as my neighbour.....only for her to tell me that her mum had died this morning.
I have spent the last three hours making cups of tea, washing cups and making more drinks. We had a takeaway for dinner as she has kids to feed too (she has custody of her grandchildren) and my little ds was happy with her grandchildren while we had cups of tea and I listened to her talking about her mum.
I'm shattered, but that is what your friends are for isn't it - help when helps needed. I just wish there was more I could do.
(((Hugs))) Smoky. Just keep hugging the smokelets. The rest will come eventually.
Take care all of you,
Jayne x0 -

Well not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. THe slightest exertion makes me cough. Walked (shuffled?) to Bargain Booze to get some chocolate to finish dh's birthday cake & it set me off coughing. Never mind.
Colleague in dept is off sick and in hosp again, so have volunteered to do some hours later in the week. My hours have been a bit scant recently, with staff training, student review days. I don't get paid for those. Should get sick pay for the last week though. Anyway, thought I should offer. I don't want any more regular hours, but don't mind accepting them if there are a few going and I'm not busy. Have a client Wed morning for manicure, so a bit more there.
Starting to do some clearing out of stuff again for my 'new room'. FOr now I'm just trying to get a) all sewing stuff in the old desk b) all office supplies together c) books from boxes onto shelves and whatever else!
Thanks"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Thanks for ALL the good wishes etc while I've been poorly, they really have kept me cheerful."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
