smokybabe, it's lovely to hear from you. As other's have said, feeding, clothing and loving the kids is more than enough. Your loss and pain are still so fresh and raw, nobody could expect you to be any further on at this point. I'm glad your sis and bil are able to support you and the kids. I expect they enjoy taking the kids out as much as the kids enjoy being taken:D

Try to use what energy you can muster for things like the financial dealings. Is this an area your family could help with? The dust isn't going anywhere, promise. I've been waiting on a visit from the housework fairies for years, but they never come, it just sits and waits patiently.

Anyway, take care of yourself. One day you'll wake up and the world won't seem so dark and pointless. Until then, be as kind to yourself as you've always been to others on this board.:kisses3:

    CM xx

  • Afternoon all

No time to read thru (might try to later)

    (((hugs))) to those in need.

    Been at work today.

Have made curry for dinner with yesterdays chicken. Still have chicken left over, dunno what to do with it tomorrow night. Was thinking of making a pie for DH but he has gone off mash. He does my head in. Stop being fussy man, I have a budget....

Only spent £1 today on some naughty sweets for the kids.

Must go, need to push the hoover round the living room & put the rice on the hob.

Smoky - just want to echo what others have said, just being there for your children is enough at the moment, eveything else can wait and if it can't wait please ask someone to help, your family or ask on here, we must have a wealth of experience collectively on here, and I know anyone on here would help xxxxxxx

Well, I have done nothing OS today at all, I have been for an interview, well it was one of those assessment days/interview things. I have to say, I have had a nice day, met some lovely young people (I think I was the oldest there by errrrrr 20 years and some:eek: ) I wasn't actually sure what job I was down for as had applied for quite a few at the place, turns out it was room attendent (cleaner to you and me) We had to do one of those team building things - had to design a new ride for the amusement park - am now a bit upset that wasn't offered a job doing that :D , as usual they will let me know, am only a bit concerned as would be working most weekends - OH is HGV driver and is away a lot, could cause problems when it is his weekend for his DD. Oh well, whoever said life was simple!

Am now going to do some stuff I should have done before interview (instead I was deciding what to wear -that took 2 hrs) Will empty DW, take rubbish out and put clothes away, haven't got to cook tonight as OH is not home, so will just have something on toast for me.

Tomorrow I am going to - hoover right through, dust bits that need it, make bread, do washing and go to library. Oh and also need to make a couple of crib sized blankets with the fleece material I have left over as DD is hoping to make a flying visit soon and want to pass on the errrr 1 or 200 items I have been getting together for her baby.

Hope everyone has a good evening

    xxxxxxxx

redruby - well done on your dd's room, still have the mess in my kids rooms, well, I guess I might get round to it tomorrow!

gena - glad your hair turned out so well and thanks for the good wishes about mine. Trotted off to Toni&Guy, thought they must be able to solve my problem - lady did a great job, hair looks nice considering, wouldn't be my choice normally, but its the best of a bad job! Booked myself in for 8 weeks time, not going through this ever again - though I am thinking about dying it - anyone think I might be jinxed, lol! Settled for a squirt or two of sun in - didn't know they still made it until I found it reduced in Boots!
