OS daily thread Monday 21st April

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 21st April. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning everybody :hello:
I'm just about to leave for work, hope everyone who follows is feeling ok.
Nothing OS done so far today, too early! But I have tea ready for tonight and lunches made for everyone.
Tested a new recipe last night for skinny muffins, so when I have tasted them later, I will post the recipe up if anyone wants it.
(((((hugs)))))) to all who are in need
Hope you all have a good day.
See you later

:grouphug: and :hello: to everyone xxx
Busy morning for me, once ive dropped the children off to school, i have my blood test, then an appointment with the doctor, (providing she isnt running late) then i have to go to the dentist!!! Luckily im on my own this morning, but i do have a LO here this afternoon, but hopefully my mouth will be ok by then so i can talk properly!! We are doing potty training at the mo, so that should be fun!
Not much else planned, as my morning is so busy didnt have roast yesterday as i forgot to take the meat out of the freezer, so we will be having it for dinner tonight (lamb today).
Oh, WELL DONE to master dlb yesterday, shame he wasnt on the winning side, but sounds like he had a wonderful time!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Good Morning All
Catowen - Dentist & Doc! Hope everything goes ok for you.
(((Smokey)))
Up early this morning, first time in ages. Have absolutly loads of office work to do today so that will be all I will be doing between 9 and 3. I must be strict with myself, my desk is covered.
OH gone to work, hopefully there will be something there for him today. One thing I must do is phone the solicitor to discuss his mitigation for his speeding case - I seem to have a very laid back solicitor, at least I hope its that and not that he's incompentent.
So not too much os today unfortuntely. Need to wash the whites in a bit but thats about it.
Off now to finish my tea.
Have a great day.

Good morning Arkonite_babe, christabel, catowen & all who cross/follow
It`s a cold morning but no rain (at least not yet) it seems like it will be a nice day, it`s just got light and i`m surprised at the amount of traffic on the roads.
Went to see my Auntie in hospital last night and she seems well, the stroke left her with slightly slurred speech and the loss of the use of her hand but she is recovering really well, she wants to go home and be in her own surroundings but i think it will be a while yet, she`s in good spirits.
The bm has been emptied but i left the dw for DH to empty before he goes to work, i`m trying to remember to do this more often as he can learn how to load it properly, he just shoves things in anyhow and hopes for the best
Off to do some [STRIKE]browsing [/STRIKE] w**k now.
Have a good day everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -

No need Ab, I posted it ages ago.
Morning everyone,
Another gorgeous sunny day here.Vacumed & washed the floors this morning. DGS & XDIL came to visit. I then cleaned & hosed the front verandah & path. I hate red soil.
Been sewing after lunch. Well sewing and unpicking to be more precise.
Just having my arv tea now & then back to the sewing machine. Having something with a can of salmon for tea. Depends what I feel like chucking together later.
dlb never mind. There's always next year.
Mrsmix  Any news on Dad's tests yet?
Cat What an awful day. Drs & dentist.
I'm off to the dentist on Wednesday and to the hairdresser but after reading all the stories I"m not sure which one I should be more frightened of.I've had green hair before. That was from DH putting too much chlorine in the pool one day. I should have realised after jumping in, my eyes felt like they were on fire. :rotfl:
Well better get to the quick un pick. <hugs> to those poorly. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all
Hugs to PP & Smokey
Green hair Aussie? I bet that looked fetching, lol.
Off to work soon, whole school training on something, I've forgotten what, something with one of those silly names like S.L.O.P. or S.N.O.T., in an attempt to make it sound interesting & trendy. I doubt I'll actually get to the training, I'll be snowed under with photocopying.
Katy's up & making her breakfast, amazing really, she was still crashing around at 2am.
No kids in today, so no extra duty for me today, shame, I could do with the money.
Ham & chutney sarnies for lunch, something with saute potatoes for tea.
Have a good day
Hugs Hester

Good morning everyone
Cat good luck at the doc/dentist/vampira.
((((hugs)))) to those who need/want one.
Haven't kept up with the thread for the last few days. Since our bad news on Friday I have been working like a demon to keep myself occupied - the house is cleaner than it has ever been I think. Was making bread rolls at 11.15 last night. Been up since 5.15 so I think it's going to be a long day.
It's looking like the funeral for my nephew's baby will be on Friday so I will be heading to Scotland for that.
Nothing else to say except have a good day. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Really do need to look at loosing some weight, can't fit into any of my clothes after all that food and booze!
Catch you later. Have a good day all.
