    Hi everyone :hello:

Well, we've moved house but haven't got our computer packed so I've just joined the library and I'm now using the internet for free - but I've only got 6 mins left, so I'll be quick.

Moving was ok as OH's parents helped - his mum cleaned the cupboards in the new house, whilst his dad helped lift furniture. Bliss!

I've sussed out when the farmers' market is on, found the nearest (huge, gigantic) Tesco, just about to pop to the local butcher........... etc etc. Oh and got forms for the local doc. Exhausting. And I've had 2 days supply teaching this week. Hurrah! So, at least that's a bit of cash in the bank.

I'll catch up with you all when I've got a bit more time, but I hope that you're all well. Glad to hear that your job is going well and the move was a success jw!

Hello all, couldnt find the thread this was mentioned on so rather than make a new one i will just pop my little tip here if thats ok.

Someone was asking about limescale in washing machines and dishwashers. In poundland today they had one of those hard plastic ball things with holes in to eliminate any limescale and according to the instructions you use less detergent and a lesser heat,eg a 90 degree wash can be done at 65 degrees with this ball type thing.Anyway i baught one and i will let you know how i get on with it.

Just put my first wash in with 1 tablet and soda crystals as eventually got some yesterday 52p.

  • Hi all, Dismal weather all round it seems!

You lot make me feel so lazy you seem to have everything done before I'm wide awake!

Got up earlier today cos it's my bd and wanted to see dd2 before she went to work. Breakfasted, showered, made lunch (no canteen) soup/parsnip cake/apple. Nothing for me to do tonite as OH may have made plans!!

Sunday it's Harvest Festival and I should be at church as it's parade (uniformed organisations) but OH wanted to take me out for the day (WeyHey :j ) but had to phone around and sort out who's to stand in for me. Glad I wasn't stewarding as well!

Saturday should be a housework day as I've a mountain of ironing to do :o and bathroom to clean/washing to do/vaccing etc but want to go shopping for a new cossie cos we're off on our hols 1 weeks time :D It's a long time since I last wore mine and I think it was a bit thin then - so daren't use it for fear of showing more than I plan to  Still you only have 1 bd a year so I'm gong to make the most of it.

Hope you all have a good day/weekend

Afternoon all, thick fog and blowing a gale here today!

Decided I'd had enough of being at home this week (one of the only downsides of working from home - getting sick of the same 4 walls) and popped off to Tesco to meet a friend for coffee and do the shop, we wander round together and it takes nearly all morning but it's a bit of a laugh. Managed to overspend by £13 on this weeks budget but it was for a good cause (nice bottle of wine for tonight and 2 chickens for the freezer)

Any other OS plans will go completely out the window this afternoon as I've got to go pick 4 soggy kids up from the walking bus in a couple of hours, no point even looking at the state of the kitchen floor with all those muddy shoes coming in. Will get a loaf going in the BM as I bought some lovely pate for DH and I for a light tea.

Got all the winter duvets out the loft yesterday and put the one on our bed (brand new duvet - donated by mother - she bought it - realised it was to thick and gave it to us!!) DD's duvets are airing over doors at the moment - they went in the loft clean but smell a bit musty - will pop them on their beds tomorrow.

Need to reorganise the larder at some stage - might do that whilst cooking DD's dinner tonight and need to get some ironing done before it takes over the entire bedroom.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

    Good Morning/afternoon :o

Was up till gone 5am because i couldnt sleep so made use of my time by doing an online shop withb Asda. Finally gonna bite the bullet and try online shopping for food! :j (mainly cos im off sick so cant go to my local tesco - cos i work there! :rotfl:) Pretty made up with myself.. started the shop by searching for "Smartprice" and at this rate i'll have enough to last me over a month - maybe even 2 in some aspects (10 tins of baked beans and 8 bags of pasta for example :rotfl: )!! :D Got 163 items.. for estimated price of £57.11 after multisaves and a evoucher! :j

That includes £3.20 on 2 bottles of juice for my mum which she'll give me back... so actually only costing about £54 and i have xmas items and loads of storecupboard stuff too, aswell as a few luxuries and some sweets for the nasty lil tricker treaters! Quite proud of myself! :o

Rest of today will be spent on lil jobs, then may do some card-making or watch a dvd. Not sure yet. MIGHT even do some freezer cooking if i can be bothered.

Flat pack furniture - what a nightmare! I have spent all day so far putting together a new desk. It was definately a 2 person job, but I managed it on my own. It's bigger than my old desk so I had to clear all the other junk out of the office first. That was the tough bit.
The autoglass blokes have just left, as I had a crack in my windscreen which they have had to repace. Good job they did too.

So after all that I've not even tidied away my breakfast things or had any lunch yet, let alone done anything OS!
