  • Good morning everyone!

I'm sat here in my towel when I should be getting ready for work lol!!!

This morning I have washed 2 loads, dried 1 - the other is now in the tumble - yes you've guessed it - it's raining here in Oxfordshire!

I've washed up last night's dinner and this mornings breakie and I've washed the kitchen floor!! I feel I've actually achieved something this morning!!

DD is dressed for school - I've just got to do her hair.

Tonight we'll be having HM chilli (but I've got to go for the dreaded smear and injection first!!!!)

I think I'll treat myself to a nice bottle of wine tonight!

PP and Sparklewing I hope you have a better day today.

    Speak to you later!
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
  • Hi all :)

Today I shall be mostly cleaning mum's house :D Have to do her downstairs and any other little jobs she finds for me.

Need to go to undertakers as he's collecting in lieu of flowers for Dad and I really ought to get my backside in gear and donate - it's being split between 2 charities and one of them is going to set up to sponsored fellowship thingies in Dad's name, one for an art student, one for photography. (Dad was a brilliant artist and photographer) The collection I believe stands at well over £1000 and a lot of people have donated directly to one of charities, so won't be counted in that lot. It's nice to know he was so popular :)

Lunch will be whatever is at my mum's and tea will be what I can be bothered to grab from the freezer in a minute - chicken breasts or fish probably.

OK, off for shower and hairwash. Catch ya all later.

    Hi all

Sparklewing - just a thought (I'm not familiar with your situation) but would it be possible to take a mortgage holiday for a couple of months to ease the pressure?

    Hope you feel better soon

  • morning all. Very sleepy in work this morning - I seem to have lost the knack of getting to sleep anytime before 2am.

Anyway.. I've some nice O/S floor sweeping planned for when I get home from work this evening and possibly a little baking as well - I've a friend who's having romantic "issues" at the mo and a warm chocolate muffin straight from the oven seems to help a little in these circumstances.

I had a little investigation of our new Morrisons yesterday.. I'm not very impressed on the whole as it seems to be VERY expensive without a lot of ingredient variety, but I did finally manage to pick up my new and splendid Bero cookbook :D so I'll not be trawling their website constantly anymore :D .

    Much baking this weekend.
Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...
  • Hi

I have just posted in the storecupboard challenge and hoping that you wonderful people can help me use up the grub i have?

Washing all done and blowing on line(OH hung out for me). Pizza dough being made in BM-does 2 big bases (1 for lunch 1 for freezer) and think I may do another batch after so we can put 3 in freezer. We have cooked the bases from frozen and have been fine. We have worked out that they cost about 70p each with toppings of ham, pineapple, cheddar, sweetcorn, tom puree and mozarella  and taste delish :p OH can eat a full pizza (he's a piggy though-but easily enough for 2 people with some oven chips or salad). After the bases are done, I have found a recipe for Fruit cake for the BM-so may try that and use some of the mixed fruit up.

    Will catch up later.

  • Hi All

I've been lurking on these boards for a while now and have posted occasionnally on other threads but I read this thread everyday.

I thought I'd have a go myself. Hope you don't mind.

Had a lie in today, so only just getting going. But 2 loads of washing to do (will be dried on the maiden as weather so unpredictable). Need to go to town for a few bits also.
Tea tonight is steak and ale pie (shop bought I'm afraid:eek: ) with roasts and veg and gravy.

I have a pile of ironing I need to tackle will hopefully try later today or maybe not:whistle:

Anyway have a good day everyone will catch up later.

    Hello Suzie

I am having a lazy day and trying to get motivated to tackle the ironing.

Soup is in slow cooker and need to hang out washing - but it looks like rain.

    hello all

Not actually done much today - struggled out of bed and into uni. But the day is bright and breezy and has put me in a great mood so have lots planned for this afternoon. Starting with sticking the slow cooker on for dinner, making some soup, cleaning the house (seem to have overlooked this one too many times this week) and then hitting the books.

Hopefully I'll be able to fit in some banana loaf with a cuppa about 3pm. Mum v kindly sent me a food parel at the weekend with her famous HM banana loaf and HM raspberry jam. Yum YUm Yum.

Hope everyone has a better night tonight - I know how you feel. Insomnia is raging in my house at the moment too. I am blaming it on not enough exercise and too much caffine. Going to try hard to cut down.

    Have a nice day folks.

    Afternoon, whoever's still here.
Sounds like a lot of us are chronically short of sleep - I'm a member of that club too! Fed up of hearing clock outside strike every hour. Never mind, at least here in Yorkshire, it's still fine enough to dry clothes outside, so things can't be too bad!
Had an early lunch, got to clean bathroom - yuck - then going to make a start on making my Christmas cards. I've been making my own cards for ages - it's much cheaper than buying & you can give people something unique.
Hope you all have a good afternoon, despite any rain - the weekend's nearly here!
