I'd managed to snag a room in a 5* London hotel, but I couldn't confirm as the site doesn't take Maestro / Switch cards. That's what you get for refusing to use credit cards to try and keep you out of debt. Piffle!

make sure you check-in before 6 p.m. or you may lose the room (there were two options in my-failed-at-the-end booking, this and another one where the room is guaranteed but you have to leave credit card details)

I've booked mine to germany and even found flights with jet 2 for 99p! (incl tax etc) but still quite cheap! Only thing is it says to arrive before 6pm and the flight doesn't land till 8.30pm... they might keep it if I ask them though!
