Well, off to a reasonable start. Had cereal for breakfast and a Muller light yoghurt (5 for a quid in Asda & Tesco at the moment!). Lunch not quite so good - we were out in town and went to McD's BUT I refrained from having anything unnecessary, so just had a burger, only a couple of OHs fries and no ice cream after it which had become a habit in pregnancy, so that's only about 5-600 calories rather than the 2000 or so in a full junk meal, and although I haven't counted WW points it's way within my allowable 40 a day.
DH and I decided today - rather bizarrely - that we're going to learn to play tennis. It'll probably never happen, but it's the thought that counts0 -
Count me in!
I've been going to WW for just over a year now and so far I've lost 2 stone. The bad part of that is that I lost that between Feb '07 and July '07. Since then I seem to be gaining and losing the same 2 or 3 pounds, so that my weight has pretty much stayed the same for months now.
I really need to shift about another 2 1/2 stone or so. I'm at 10 stone 4lbs at the moment- which may not seem horrendous but at only 4ft 11 it's waaaaay over what I should be. Till I had kids I was about 7 1/2 stone. I've always been a very curvy person (Never would have mistaken me for a child even at my lightest) so I've never been skinny.
I know I'll never be that size again- and I'm fine with that. If I could get to about 8 1/2 I'll be happy.
Aaaaaaanyway.......... I'm currently a clerk for WW (which just means I got asked one week if I'd like to help out by manning the 'shop'- the tables with all the snacks and products) so don't have to pay a weekly fee. To be honest, I probably wouldn't be going still if I had to pay- SOOOOO expensive! If I get any news on any new things or products on the way, I'll give you a yell here.
Just wish I could get out of this plateau!!!!!!!!Conquering the debts one penny at a time.....0 -
Hi all,
Your doing well today PP keep it up.
Pennyfrog what about giving the Wendi plan a go for a week, its always on WW community boards. Its basically for someone who is stuck at a certain weight for a few weeks. the idea is to mix up the points you have every week, say you have 18 one day, then have 20 and the next 25 and then one day drop to 16, its on those line. if I find it again I'll post it. It apparently works and shakes up the system.
all have a good day tomorrow and check in if you can and try to stay away from the pies. haha.
good luck.0 -
Evening everyone, Had a few busy days but kinda kept to healthy eating. I'm getting a new kitchen fitted tomorrow so been busy emptying it. NEVER realised how much crap i keep till now! The housing association is paying for it so free too!!
Any how i digress, today i had 2 slices of toast, a tomato, cheese (ekk) and mushroom melt, and a happy meal tonight.
Hopefully i will get some of the kitchen back in over the weekend and be able to cook, don't suppose anyone has a beef curry recipe? Managed to get some cheap beef and its in the freezer, so might have to do it on Saturday/Sunday.
Thanks for keeping the thread moving!

Ingredients
2 medium onions, finely slic
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 green chilli, de-seeded and finely chopped
Spray oil
1lb 4 oz lean casserole beef
2 tablespoon mild or medium curry paste
1lb 4oz tomatoes, peeled, de-seeded and chopped
2 tablespoon tomato puree
1/4pt beef stock
salt
freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
1. Place the onion, garlic and chilli in a frying pan, spray with spray oil and fry for 5 mins. Transfer to the slow cooker.
2. Brown the beef in small batches for 3-4 minutes until evenly brown. Put all the beef into the frying pan and stir in the curry paste, tomatoes, tomato puree and stock.
3. Bring to the boil then transfer to the slow cooker. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper, cover and leave to cook on HIGH for 6 hours or until the meat is tender.
4. Serve with boiled rice (remember to add points for this).
Special NotesThis recipe is for a slow cooker, but the cooking time could be amended if being cooked by other means.
A mild or medium curry paste is suggested in the recipe, but if you like your curry fiery then substitute for a stronger paste or add additional chillies.
Let us know if its good or not.

Well, I was at WW today and I lost 1 1/2 lbs. Yay! I'll see what happens over the next couple of weeks. If I don't lose- or go up- I'll give the wendi plan a try, FabDee. It looks interesting. I can see how it'd work in theory- so you never know!
New foodie thing goes on sale in meetings next week. They're flip top packs of mints (apparently bigger than tic tacs but kind of along those lines.) They're 1 point per pack and they'll be sold at £1.50 for two packs.
The stinky news is that from 1st May all the boxes of snack bars (toffee bars, peanut/ coconut/ red berry and all the rest) which have been £1.95 till now will go up to £2.05 Booooo!!!!!!!Conquering the debts one penny at a time.....0 -
Hi to all
Well i stayed the same, was hoping for a llb loss but didn't happen, I seem to be staying the same alot but I get its much better than putting it on.
Congrats to pennyfrog for your 1 1/2lb loss that great, keep at it. Our meeting didn't have the info about the mints or that the bars where going up, maybe we will get told next week.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and stay strong and focus your minds on your target for next week.

As it says above, I was at my meeting Thursday after being away for about a month, was a complete bloater in that time and had loads of takeaways, rolls and sausage for a SECOND:eek: breakfast and........
I lost 1.5lbs:j :j Maybe I should eat junk food more often! (I actually think it's because I shaved my legs and not to do with anything food-related.):rotfl:
Have to say that I was really good yesterday, but now I'm craving a chinese for tea......I did miss lunch today though and had some points saved. Now am I being good or naughty?:oNSD November 1/20 :money:

Hmmmmm, not sure I'll like the mints if they're extra strong.
Isn't weight loss a weird thing, catchooky? I can remember last year in one week we'd pigged out on a chinese takeaway on the Saturday, went to a birthday party with a buffet (all the wrong things!) on Sunday, went out to celebrate my son passing the 11 plus on Tuesday (Pizza hut- special meal deal 3 course meal with VERY naughty dessert!) and I still lost a pound and a half too. Yet a couple of weeks ago I had one 'naughty' meal (fish & chips) and was good all the rest of the week- and put on a pound. Soooooo odd!
Keep up the good work, everyone.
Someone convince me that I really don't want the chocolate bar sitting in the packed lunch snack box in the cupboard!!!!!!!Conquering the debts one penny at a time.....0
