I've had the Garmin i3 for a few weeks now and think its excellent and simple to use. You can now get them from staples, Comet and pcworld(online) for £180, can't go wrong i don't think.

If you want to use it in europe you would have to buy the garmin map cd for about £160 plus a memory card for about £30, or buy individual maps for the countries at about £80 each. probably cheaper to get another gps if you want to use one in europe. To use it in the states the map cd is about £90.

All you safety conscious drivers out there who want extra warning about dangerous locations the police have kindly set this up for you.

By putting traffic safety camera's in these locatations, all you need is a free map of the speed cameras and you are sorted. Visit https://www.pocketgpsworld.com and download their Safety camera database for free... it could save you from a accident (and Points and £££'s)

Most models are covered, and if yours does not seem to be look through the forums, I even managed to find a way for my sailing GPS.

I might be missing the point here but do you get many speed cameras when you are sailing!!!!!

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but the new plastic windscreen fitting on this model breaks very easily, so I'd avoid those at the moment. The company do send out replacement ones free of charge, but it's unnecessary hassle.

I haven't got the time to read through all the posts but I have just gotten a tomtom 500. How do I get a non-breaking windscreen holders out of tomtom?
