  • I knew I should have left it alone
It has closed down and the screen will only say
    System Software Missin.

It's not knackered, Tony. You should still be able to transfer the new data onto the transflash. Plug the unit in and switch it on. It will say System Software Missing. Find the Garmin Updater on your pc and click it. It will then upload the new software to your Garmin. If you can't find the updater, unzip the zip file again and remember where you've stored it. If you can't see it then, you've downloading the POI software and not the update. You need:

    StreetPiloti3_240.exe Update

  • Don't forget to ask when shopping in Aldi (or is it Lidl) Picked up a MyGuide (mitec Mio 168) today, Im asked if they still had any....was told nobody seems to ask after the first few days. None were on display but managed to get the last one in the store....came with all the cables, car goodies (and bike!), mapping software and 256mb SD card all for £199.00 :)

I never can tell, but having checked my receipt I've found it was Lidl

Software is Falk Premium Edition, it was pre-loaded. Had a quick try of it, looks ok but totally different menu systems from TomTom which I'm used to.
